Body fluid testing device for analyzing a body fluid comprises a test media tape adapted to collect the body fluid. The test media tape comprises a tape and test media portions. A free tape portion without test medium is located between successive test media portions. The testing device further comprises a supply portion. The supply portion comprises a housing in which uncontaminated test media tape is contained. The housing further has an opening for withdrawing test media tape from the housing. The testing device further has a sealing means for closing the opening against the surrounding. A free tape portion of the test media tape is located between a wall of the housing and the sealing means when the sealing means closes the opening. Further aspects concern a test media cassette with sealing means and a method for providing test media while holding them sealed against humidity during onboard storage.

Body fluid testing device

The invention concerns a process for producing an analytical tape for liquid samples in which a rollable transport tape is provided with test fields that are spaced apart in the direction of the tape for analyzing the liquid samples. A multilayered test label tape is prefabricated from at least a detection film and an adhesive tape and subsequently the test fields are transferred as self-adhesive test labels from the test label tape onto the transport tape.

Process and device for producing an analytical tape for liquid samples

The invention concerns a diagnostic test unit for analysing a body fluid comprising a test carrier (test tape; test strips) provided with test fields () for applying the body fluid and a container () containing the test carrier, wherein an opening () of the container () is at least in some areas bordered by a seal (). According to the invention it is proposed that the opening () is screened by a closing foil () from the surroundings of the container () and that the test tape () or a test strip () to be dispensed is passed through a passage gap () between the closing foil () and the seal ().
