The invention relates to a security element in the form of a flexible, multilayer film body and to an identification system comprising a security element of this type. The security element has a receiving unit () for receiving an electromagnetic verification signal () containing a specific coding from a verification device, an output unit () for outputting an enable signal, and an electronic release system () having active and/or passive organic components. The electronic release system () checks whether or not a signal received by the receiving unit contains the specific coding, and drives the output unit () for outputting the enable signal if the signal received by the receiving unit () contains the specific coding.

The invention concerns a value-bearing document and a process for the production of a value-bearing document. The value-bearing document comprises a carrier of a paper material and a laminating film which is applied to the carrier and which has a carrier film and a decorative layer arrangement including one or more security features and/or one or more components with electrical functionalities. The laminating film is provided with predetermined breaking locations the reducing the strength of the laminating film.

Valuable document and method for producing a valuable document

The invention concerns a process for the production of a personalised, optically variable element having polarising properties, and a film system for carrying out the process. To produce the optically variable element a film body which comprises two or more layers and which has an LCP layer comprising a liquid crystal material is applied to a substrate body which has an orientation layer for the orientation of liquid crystals. The orientation layer of the substrate body is personalised prior to application of the film body to the substrate body. The film body is then applied to the personalised orientation layer of the substrate body in such a way that the LCP layer of the film body lies on the personalised orientation layer of the substrate body for then orientation of liquid crystals of the LCP layer of the film body.

Method and film system for producing a personalised, optically variable element

There is proposed a security document comprising a security element, wherein the security element is of such a configuration that it can be determined by means of the sense of human touch. For that purpose either the surface nature of various surface regions can be selected differently so that the configuration and size of the different surface regions can be determined by the human sense of touch. Another possibility is for the substrate of the security document to be provided with suitably shaped openings which can be identified by means of the human sense of touch. A combination of different tactile security elements of that kind is also described.
