A window shade for motor vehicles having a shade of approximately trapezoidal shape. An extension profile or pull rod of the shade, the ends of which are guided in guide rails, is arranged on the shortest transverse edge of the shade. In order to compensate for a varying distance between the guide rails, the extension profile is divided into a center section, on which the shade is fixed, and two end sections that move in the guide rails. Centering devices are provided in order to prevent transverse creases in the shade when it is completely extended. The centering devices, which are effective when the shade is completely extended, act upon the center section.

A storage compartment for a motor vehicle is provided. The storage compartment includes a wall and a supporting frame for supporting the wall. The wall can be varied in height, at least in some sections, by at least one winding shaft. The supporting frame has at least one receiving device with at least one connecting piece. The winding shaft is mounted on the connecting piece such that the winding shaft forms part of the supporting frame.

A storage container for use in a boot of a motor vehicle, which container is fastenable on the lower side of a rear parcel shelf and, for loading, is movable into at least one loading and/or unloading position, and which includes a frame, a supporting surface and at least one essentially inelastic side wall connecting the supporting surface to the frame, wherein the side wall can be deformed, and therefore the height of the storage container can be varied. A module for fitting a storage container in a vehicle is also included.

A roller blind for motor vehicle windows which includes a roller blind body movable between a retracted stored posited and an extended position over the window with which it is used. The roller blind body has a width greater than at least portions of the rear window, with the excess portions of the roller blind body being movable into receptacles mounted in the vehicle body, thus preventing any possible light gap between the roller blind body and the side edges of the of window.

A roll-up sunroof shade is provided that has two guide rails in addition to the tensioned shade element. A push element runs in each guide rail. Each push element is driven with a positive fit via a separate drive gear. For manual activation of the shade element, the rotational movement of the wind-up shade is transferred to the drive gears, and thus to the push elements, via a gear arrangement. In contrast, during retraction, the force acts from the push elements onto the wind-up shaft via the drive gears in order to generate the necessary rotational movement of the wind-up shaft.

A load-bearing rail is provided for the cargo space of a motor vehicle, which is used for accommodating a load-bearing eyelet that can be guided therein in a movable and lockable manner. To provide a load-bearing rail for the cargo space of a motor vehicle, which may assume additional functions in order to both keep the weight low and to reduce the number of parts and thus to lower the cost of production, the load-bearing rail is provided with a bracket, which sticks out laterally and which serves as a support for a floor of the cargo space.

A cargo compartment cover is provided that includes guide rail arrangements on either side of the cover sheet in order to bring the cover sheet into a intermediate position starting from the closed position. To transfer the cover sheet between these two positions, two separate gear motors are provided which are not synchronized together. The gear motors run completely independently of one another electrically and mechanically.

A center armrest for rear seat backs of cars that comprises an armrest upper part and an armrest lower part that are joined together by means of a hinge located at an end face of the armrest. Within a hollow central portion of the armrest, a control mechanism is provided by which the thickness of the armrest is automatically adjusted when the armrest is swiveled down from an out-of-use position where it functions as part of the seat back into the armrest position.

A protective device for a motor vehicle luggage area has a flexible flat article, which is movably mounted between a compact, deposited protection position and at least one extracted protection position. There are at least two parallel, spaced functional shafts to which the flat article is connected. The position of the flat article is detected and a controller, as a function of the detected position, controls the functional shafts in such a way that the flat article in a first, roughly horizontally extracted protection position has a first, light-proof surface structural portion and in a second, vertically extracted protection position a second, light-transmitting surface structural portion.

A rear-window roller blind assembly for motor vehicles in which the roller blind is movable out of a pull-out slit to an extended position through movement of a pull-out element on a free edge thereof. The pull-out element includes a center piece and relatively movable end pieces shaped so that when the pull-out element is in a retracted position the pull-out slit is covered over its entire length by the pull-out element.

A window shade assembly for motor vehicles is provided. The window shade assembly includes a window shade element that is cut into a trapezoidal shape in order to be optimally adapted to the shape of the corresponding window. The winding shaft for this window shade web resembles a truncated cone that is approximated by means of a cylindrical core with wrappings applied thereon.

A luggage area protection device includes a flexible flat article movably arranged between a compactly deposited rest position and an extracted functioning position. At the front end in the extraction direction, a dimensionally stable extraction part, extending transversely to the flat article extraction position, is provided. Guides are associated with the extraction part and move the latter between the extracted functioning position and the flat article rest position. The extraction part is lockable in the extracted flat article functioning position. The locking mechanisms, considered in the flat article extraction direction, are positioned approximately at the same height or behind an area portion defining the rest position of the extraction part.

A separating device for a vehicle interior, with at least one dimensionally stable flat structure, is positioned upright in a protection position. At least one transparent disk element is associated with the flat structure and is mounted so as to move in translatory manner parallel to the flat structure. In a protection position, it extends the flat structure in the vehicle height direction.

A protection device is provided with at least one flat article, which can be alternatively transferred into a roughly vertical protection position or a roughly horizontal position. Means for varying the transmittance of the flat article are provided and are coupled to control means which, as a function of a displacement of the flat article between the protection positions, control the transmittance varying means.
