The invention relates to a valve unit () comprising a cartridge and valve holder (), which has means () for connecting the same to a cartridge protective housing (), means () for sealingly fastening the same in a hole () that is provided for this purpose in a liquid receptacle () as well as a lateral, continuous hole (), an internal housing (), which is mounted in the cartridge and valve holder (), in which a tapping tip () and a pressure-reducing valve unit () are located at the end of the internal housing () facing the cartridge protective housing (), wherein the pressure-reducing valve unit has a pressure-regulating chamber (), wherein the pressure-regulating chamber () encompasses a connection to the interior of the liquid receptacle () via a continuous hole () in the internal housing () and the lateral, continuous hole () in the cartridge and valve holder (), which [connection] is protected or can be blocked by a non-return valve. The unit forms a valve along with the cartridge protective housing and a cartridge that is located therein, which [valve] can be incorporated into a liquid receptacle, e.g., a 5-L keg of beer, in order to maintain a pressure level in the receptacle which ensures tapping of a fresh tasting, highly carbonated beverage even at a low filling level while using little space outside the receptacle.

The invention relates to a disposable tap () for tapping liquid from a pressurized liquid container. Compared to prior art taps, the inventive disposable tap is modified so that it can be preferably placed in the upper area of the lateral wall of the liquid container. To this end, the tap comprises a lateral inlet opening () which is oriented downward when the tap is mounted and which is provided for coupling, in a sealing manner, to an ascending tube (), and comprises elements (), which control the entrance of liquid into the tap and to the outlet (of the tap hole) in an appropriate manner. The invention also relates to a liquid container with a corresponding opening () for and with this tap.
