Centrifugal speed governor for internal combustion engines

A pneumatic diaphragm control element for a fuel injection apparatus for internal combustion engines, in particular for supercharged diesel engines, has a thrust rod that is axially displaceable between two end stop counter to the force of a restoring spring, which thrust rod acts upon a control member of the fuel injection apparatus and is connected to a pressure-actuated diaphragm. One end stop determines the position assumed by the thrust rod when there is no pressure and is embodied as a stop screw for the thrust rod. The second end stop defines the position assumed by the thrust rod with maximal pressure being exerted on the diaphragm, and to this end cooperates with a counterpart stop that is adjustably coupled with the thrust rod. For better adaptation of the regulating characteristic, the counterpart stop is embodied as a pre-stressed spring assembly with two stop positions, such that when the first stop position is attained, after the spring pre-stressing is overcome, a further displacement travel (S.sub.2) of the thrust rod until the second stop position is attained is available.

A centrifugal speed governor, functioning as a minimum-maximum-speed governor, includes an adjusting member which is pivotable for adjusting the supply quantity, and the governor rod of the associated injection pump is adjustable via an intermediate lever by means of the adjusting member and a governor spring which is displaceable counter to the force of associated governor springs. The travel of the governor rod is limited in the direction of an increasing supply quantity by a governor rod stop including a starting spring. With the adjusting member resting on an end stop, the governor rod is pressed away from a basic test position (P) into its full-load position (V), and the differential travel (.DELTA.R) thereby resulting is absorbed by an accumulator in the governor linkage, preferably in the governor sleeve. The deflection stroke (A) of the accumulator is only slightly longer than that required to compensate for the differential travel (.DELTA.R). As a result, with the governor off the idling spring, with the accumulator blocked, can positively press the starting spring in the governor rod stop. Thus it is possible, in minimum-maximum-speed governors, to control a constant full-load position.

Centrifugal speed governor for fuel-injected internal combustion engines

The device has a scanning member, adjustable in relation to the rpm, for the determination of the full load injection amount and a support attachable to a base and holding a contour disk in a predetermined position, the latter serving as a stop for the scanning member. The support can be attached with the aid of a holding element in such a way, that the first adjustment position of the support equipped with the contour disk is permanently fixed. Even after the support has been removed, its renewed fixing in the first adjustment position is assured (FIG. 3).

Device for fuel injection pumps

A hand-held power tool has a tool holder, a tool axially reciprocable in the tool holder, and a striking mechanism including a drive piston and a striker having a disc-shaped plate with a small axial dimension and a striker shaft having a cross sectional dimension corresponding to that of a tool shaft. The striker shaft transmits impact energy directly to a rear end face of the tool shaft without an intermediate member.

A hand-held power tool has a tool holder for holding a tool, a striking mechanism including a cylindrical sleeve, a drive piston reciprocable in the sleeve, and a striker actuated by the latter, and a drive motor located axially parallel with and laterally adjacent to the cylindrical sleeve. The drive motor transmits the movement to the striking mechanism through a crank drive which is a one-stage crank drive and has a drive train extending transversely to a longitudinal axis of the cylindrical sleeve. The crank drive includes a rotatable shaft, a bevel gear fixedly mounted on one end portion of the drive shaft and meshing with a drive pinion of the motor, and a crank lever mounted on the other end portion of the drive shaft and connected with the drive piston of the striking mechanism. A fan is mounted on the motor shaft and operative for aspirating air, so that air flows through the motor, then flows around the cylindrical sleeve of the striking mechanism and then discharges toward the tool holder.

A centrifugal rpm governor for fuel injected motor vehicles, in which the control stroke, which is detected by a lever controlled follower on an adapting surface, is enlarged for a more precise control of the adaptation. A translated shift lever is used as the control lever, which is coupled with the governor adjusting member and the lever carrying the follower. To improve the quality of the governor, the shift lever engages an adapting lever, which carries the follower and which is arranged nearly parallel to the intermediate lever. By means of an adjusting member, which is provided with an adapting control and retraction spring, and which is separated in the governor and adapting sleeve, the use of the governor as an idling as well as a maximum rpm governor is made possible.

Centrifugal rpm governor for internal combustion engines

A centrifugal force speed governor for fuel injected internal combustion engines having at least a negative adjustment capability. In such a centrifugal force speed governor the following structural components are included: speed responsive structure; at least one adaptation spring; an adjustment member; an intermediate lever; a yield support; a control element; a stop; an energy storing structure; and a setting lever having a pin mounted thereto. The adjustment member is coupled to the speed responsive structure, the adaptation spring, the control element and through the control element to the yield support, while the setting lever engages, with its pin, the intermediate lever, the control element and the energy storing structure. When the adjustment member is displaced by the speed responsive structure and under the regulation of the adaptation spring, a displacement of the intermediate lever via the control element and the setting lever pin occurs. This displacement of the intermediate lever is transferred to a fuel supply rate adjustment member of a fuel injection pump to which the intermediate lever is coupled, producing a negative adjustment of the fuel supply rate adjustment member, i.e., an adjustment which is in the direction of increasing fuel supply as the angular speed of the governor increases.
