An axially loadable support bearing for the elastic connection of vehicle parts has a rubber bush equipped with a metal bearing core and a sheet-metal casing provided with a flange. In the installation position of the support bearing, the flange is supported on one edge of a receiving lug receiving the bearing. The bead-like bush endpiece facing away from the flange engages behind the other edge of the receiving lug and has supporting elements which engage in a snap-like manner behind the edge of the receiving lug. An abutment is assigned in the bush endpiece at an axial distance from the edge of the receiving lug. A reliable bearing support in the receiving lug in each axial direction is achieved respectively by the flange and supporting elements.

Support bearing

A structure is provided to retain in an axial direction a support bearing inserted into a receiving lug of a vehicle part. Such support bearings have a rubber bush which projects with its endpieces out of the receiving lug, possesses a bearing core and is supported on one side of the receiving lug by means of a flange of a sheet-metal casing. An annular-bead-like bush endpiece facing away from the flange engages over an edge on the other side of the receiving lug. The retention structure can be in the form of a circumferential groove in the annular-bead-like bush endpiece, into which, after the support bearing has been introduced into the receiving lug, a spring ring can be inserted a spring ring which, in the inwardly spread state, has a diameter larger than the inside diameter of the receiving lug. The spring ring thus prevents axial shifting of the support bearing in a direction in which the bead-like bush endpiece would be drawn into the receiving lug.

Two side pieces, each assigned to one longitudinal side of the vehicle, of rear axle supports for passenger vehicles are customarily connected to one another by two transverse tie bars arranged at a distance from one another, In a known type of vehicle, the rearward transverse tie bar, which is designed to be flexible, as seen in the direction of travel, is provided in front of a body cross-member which is directly adjacent to a spare wheel pan, near the rear crumple zone of the body at the floor. In the case of a crash, the spare wheel strikes the rearward transverse tie bar via the spare wheel pan. To increase this crumple zone in the body floor region, the rearward transverse tie bar is provided with lateral clearance between the body cross-member and the spare wheel pan. The body cross-member can thus be arranged at a correspondingly large distance from the spare wheel pan, and a corresponding free path for the spare wheel can be achieved. The profile of the rearward transverse tie bar, which is flexible in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle, will not form a stop unfavorably influencing the desired deformation in the rearward floor region.

Rear axle support for passenger vehicle

This invention relates to a suspension of an axle gear casing for motor vehicles comprising at least two elastic suspension elements, with one of the suspension elements arranged in front of the axle shaft and the other one arranged behind the axle shaft, in alignment with one another in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle and offset to the side of the longitudinal axis of the gear casing, wherein coordination of the stiffnesses of the suspension elements causes a rotating movement of the axle gear casing opposing a movement of the axle gear casing that occurs under the influence of the driving reaction moment from the vehicle wheels and engine drive and which normally shifts the front end of the casing correspondingly in the upward direction to maintain the position of the drive shaft of the axle gear with respect to a center of a flexible disk of a driving cardan shaft to ensure that a change of angle between the drive shaft and the cardan shaft is limited to a tolerable extent.

Suspension of an axle gear casing for motor vehicles

A guide control rod for a wheel suspension arrangement of motor vehicles. The guide control rod includes spaced side walls extending in a longitudinal direction with guide sockets being positioned in an area of the respective ends of the guide control rods. Each side wall is formed by a single stamped or pressed plate element. The guide sockets are formed by collar portions which define mounting openings extending through the respective side walls. The collar portions have different diameters so as to enable the collar portions of the respective plate members to be pressed onto one another, thereby connecting the two plate members to each other.

Guide control rod for wheel suspensions of motor vehicles

An axle carrier for motor vehicles having two side members extending in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle and two transverse members which connect the side members and are connected to the side members so that the corners at the point of connection are rigid or stiff with respect to moments about a longitudinal axis of the side members. These side members are constructed as hollow profiles which are resistant to torsion and to bending and, in a region of the respective ends thereof, are provided with openings for accommodating elastic supporting elements enabling the connecting of the axle carrier to a body of the vehicle. The axle carrier connection for the wheel guide members are provided only on the side members. The transverse members are formed by open profiles flexible to torsion, with respect to their longitudinal axis, and resistant to bending in a vertical direction transversely to the longitudinal axis.
