Drill bit and production method

A chuck includes a hollow cylindrical sleeve () having at least two, opposite, rotation transmitting strip-shaped webs () projecting radially inward, and at least one locking member () radially displaceable through a radial opening formed in the receiving sleeve, with the receiving side end of the rotation transmitting webs () being spaced from a receiving side edge of the radial opening () by a distance (X) 1.5 times greater than the guide diameter (D) of the receiving sleeve ().

Chuck

An insertion end of a tool is driven along an axis at least partially rotary or percussively, which extends along the axis within a maximum guide diameter. At least one longitudinally closed locking groove and rotary driving groove is longitudinally closed at a longitudinal locking end towards the free leading end. The rotary driving groove has a groove width with at least one tangential force contact surface. At least two rotary driving grooves have a length of at least three times that of the guide diameter are arranged on the tool-side ahead of the longitudinal locking end, and have a contact length at least 1.5 times the guide diameter configured to be one fifth of the guide diameter.

Insertion end for a rotary and a percussive tool

Shank for a rotary and/or percussion working tool

A shank for a rotary and percussive tool has a locking groove () arranged between two guided regions () and axially closed at its opposite ends for receiving at least one radially displaceable and axially displaceable, within predetermined limits, locking member () of a chuck in which the shank is received, with the guide dimension (F) of the guide region being smaller than the width (B) of the axial region (A) of the locking groove () and that includes the radial extent of an entrain strip () provided in that region (A), and greater than the thickness (D) of the axial region measured in a direction transverse to the width measurement direction.

Shank for a rotary and/or percussive tool

Suction tool

A drilling tool ( ), especially a rock drilling tool, has an axially extending shaft ( ) with one end arranged to seat in a chuck of a drilling device and the opposite end securely connected to a drilling head ( ). The drilling head has at least three hard metal cutting members ( and ) with at least two adjacent cutting members located at the outer circumferential surface of the drilling head and preferably projecting radially outwardly from the circumferential surface. The cutting members are spaced circumferentially apart at an angle in the range of about 100&deg; to about 150&deg;. Drilled material grooves ( and ) separate the cutting members ( and ) in the circumferential direction.
