A piston pump for brake systems the region of the outlet valve is provided with a pressure chamber, an opposing chamber, and a flexible wall that divides the pressure chamber from the opposing chamber. The flexible wall has an elastically resilient diaphragm that is supported in an elastically flexible body.

In a pedal-travel sensor device with a kick-down mechanism, when the gas pedal is actuated, an electrical signal should be produced at the same time as a clearly perceptible jump in force. The pedal-travel sensor device proposed here is provided with leaf springs ( ) which provide electrical contacts. As a result, the production of the electrical signal can occur completely without play and at the same time as the production of the jump in force. The clearly perceptible jump in force is provided by a spring biased detent means. The pedal-travel sensor device is provided for controlling the power of a drive engine of a motor vehicle.

The invention relates to a piston pump for a vehicle brake system, in particular an electrohydraulic vehicle brake system. To improve the aspiration performance of the piston pump when the brake fluid is viscous at low the invention proposes a valve opening device, which compulsorily opens the inlet valve, embodied as a spring-loaded check valve, of the piston pump at the onset of a return stroke of the piston. The valve opening device has an opener pin, which is mounted on a valve ball of the inlet valve, and which at the end of a supply stroke of the piston enters a perforated, disklike valve opener part. At the onset of the return stroke, the valve opener part restrains the valve ball by frictional force at its opener pin and thereby opens the inlet valve.

A fuel supply system with two series-connected fuel pumps including a control valve, which is relatively small, and having a very precise regulation of the quantity of fuel pumped from the first pump into a pressure line by the second fuel pump is obtained at little effort or expense. The fuel supply system is intended for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle.

A fuel delivery systems with first and second fuel pumps connected in series in which, a satisfactorily precise regulation of the fuel quantity supplied by the second fuel pump is possible. In particular, a switching time of a control valve that controls the fuel quantity is very short. The control valve includes an electromagnet which holds the valve member in a starting position. The electromagnet is supplied with just enough current that the valve member remains in this position. A slight change of the current supply of electromagnet can then cause the switching of the control valve into the end position within an extremely short period of time. The fuel delivery system is provided for an internal combustion engine of a vehicle.

A bearing is fixed in a housing in such a way that it is fixed axially relative to a throttle flap shaft which remains rotatable relative to the bearing. The throttle flap shaft can then be gripped relative to the bearing, in a bearing recess of the throttle flap housing. The lighting device has a central reflector (10), in which a first light source (11) is located in the operating position. A light guide (11) extends from the light source in the operating position and conducts light issuing directly from the light source and reflected light from the reflector (10) to vehicle light units. The first light source (11) is located in a supporting member (21) on which an additional second light source (22) is mounted. The supporting member (21) is movable relative to the reflector (10), so that on failure of the first light source located in the operating position the second light source (22) is moved in the operating position by a shifting device (26). The shifting device can have a control unit (36) and a sensor (37) connected to the control unit (36), which detects light issuing from the light source (11) in the operating position. On failure of the light source (11) the shifting device (26) is activated by the control unit (36).
