A foldable shopping cart seat includes a back with a hook extending between columns for hanging the back on a shopping cart front. Side rails slidably disposed along corresponding columns and downwardly extendable therefrom support a seat having parallel front and back rails with a pliable material extending therebetween. Scissor-like cross pieces extend between a front and back rail of the seat and are pivotably attached thereto for enabling the seat to fold against the back for carrying the shopping cart seat to and from a retail store and supporting the seat on the floor adjacent a shopping cart front.

A holder for supporting a beverage container against an automobile air conditioner/heater grill includes a housing having a base for holding a beverage container bottom, and open top surrounding the beverage container sides, an open back and upstanding sidewalls inner connecting the base and the open top. Sidewalls include an open front for enabling passage of air therethrough and circulation of air around the container sides. A pair of spaced apart ribs extending vertically between the base and the top across the open back and a slidable element disposed between the ribs enable vertical positioning of the housing in front of the grill. Arms, separate from the housing, are provided for engaging the grill and including an interconnecting portion for removably engaging a slidable/deflecting element. An elastic member spanning the housing open back and a pair of spaced apart hooks attached thereto enable attachment of the holder to the grill.

A holder for supporting a beverage container against an automobile air conditioner/heater grill includes a housing having a base for holding a beverage container bottom, and open top surrounding the beverage container sides, an open back and upstanding sidewalls inner connecting the base and the open top. Sidewalls include an open front for enabling passage of air therethrough and circulation of air around the container sides. A pair of spaced apart ribs extending vertically between the base and the top across the open back and a slidable element disposed between the ribs enable vertical positioning of the housing in front of the grill. Apparatus for improving the efficiency of a water heater includes a combination damper assembly and heat transfer baffle. The damper assembly includes a plurality of movable damper with each damper leaning outwardly from one another when the dampers are in a closed position. The baffle depends from the damper assembly and includes a truncated conical shape in this position within the flue of a water heater for directing combustion gases from the burner against a flue wall.

Water heater apparatus for improving the efficiency of a water heater having a tank, a burner, and a flue with the flue being disposed within the tank for evacuation of burn gases therethrough includes an enhancing heat transfer baffle with the baffle having a truncated conical shape and positioned within the flue for directing combustion gases from the burner against a flue wall.

A vent damper apparatus provided for limiting flow of ambient air in a flue of a water heater. The apparatus generally includes a base structured to be connected to a water heater, and a damper assembly, extending from the base and structured to be responsive to a variable flow of exhaust gasses passing from a flue of the water heater. The damper assembly includes a plurality of independently movable dampers, and a frame structured to provide support to the plurality of independently movable dampers.

A heat trap assembly includes a housing adapted for interconnection between a hot water tank and a water line with the housing including an interior flow chamber. A one-way valve is disposed within the chamber for enabling unrestricted water flow only in one direction through the chamber. The valve includes a valve seat fixed within a chamber along one direction and movable in an opposite direction along with a movable sealing member. A spring is provided for urging the sealing member against the valve seat to prevent flow though the chamber in the opposite direction. Water flow in the one direction compresses the spring and dislodges the sealing member from the valve seat. A pressure relief disk is provided and disposed between the valve seat and the end of the chamber. The pressure relief disk compresses under a selected water pressure exerted in the opposite direction for enabling flow in the opposite direction at pressures greater than a selected water pressure within a hot water tank.

A vent damper is provided for limiting the flow of ambient air through the central core of a hot water heater having a combustion chamber, the central core forming an exhaust port leading to an exhaust duct for evacuation of exhaust gases from the combustion chamber. The vent damper includes an annular base having an upwardly facing opening forming a passageway therethrough for passage of the exhaust gases from the exhaust port to the exhaust duct. A poppet is pivotally supported above the annular base means to pivot between a closed position closing the passageway and a open position opening the passageway. The poppet is configured such that the exhaust gases generated in the combustion chamber and passing out of the exhaust port cause the poppet to pivot into the open position such that the gases may flow through the passageway. The weight of the poppet is distributed about a pivot such that in the absence of the gases, it falls under the influence of gravity into the closed position to limit the flow of ambient air through the central core. A down draft hood is disposed between the poppet and the exhaust duct to provide down draft protection. The down draft hood includes side ports to allow the gases to flow from the exhaust port to the exhaust duct when the passageway is open. The down draft hood permits operational lifting of the closure element even in a downdraft situation. A flue hood covers the down draft hood.

Apparatus for improving the efficiency of a water heater having a tank, a burner and a flue, the flue being disposed within said tank for evacuation of burned combustion gases therethrough with resulting heating of water in the tank, generally including combustion gas deflector for enhancing heat transfer from the combustion gases through a flue wall and into surrounding water during ignition of the burner.

Variable flow volume control baffle for water heater

An integral vent damper/hood apparatus for regulating draft in a flue of a hot water heater includes a damper support having a hemispherical dome, a congruent cylindrical portion with a plurality of openings therein for passage of flue gas therethrough, and a bottom support. A coaxial faceted guide is disposed between the hemispherical dome and the bottom support with a flue gas floatable damper disposed between the hemispherical dome and the bottom support and moveable along the coaxial faceted guide in response to flue gas exiting the hot water heater flue. The damper includes a coaxial circular aperture therein for enabling the movement of the damper along the faceted guide with contact occurring only at intersections of the guide facets. A hood is provided for conducting flue gas passing through said damper support into an exhaust flue along with a fixture for coaxially attaching the hood and damper support to the hot water heater flue.

Television power, antenna and data coupling apparatus including the substitution of a coaxial cable or metal clad fiberoptics cable for the standard grounded wire of a typical power cord, with the ground prong being configured to form the male component of a coaxial jack connector. Similarly, at least one of the ground plug receptacles of a dual or other multiple socket wall connector is modified to form a female coaxial connector for receiving the male component of the jack connector. The outer conductor of the coaxial jack connector and the outer conductor of the female receptacle connector are used to provide the standard ground connection for the plug and receptacle. The inner metal and/or glass fiber conductors form the principal signal paths. Since the female component of the receptacle is of the same internal diameter as the standard ground pin receptacle, the plugging of a standard three-prong plug into the modified receptacle provides power to the plug in the identical manner of the non-video/data receptacle.

A vent damper for limiting the flow of ambient air in a hot water heater including a main burner, a pilot light burner and a central core for evacuation of exhaust gases from the main burner and pilot light burner. The vent damper comprises an inner shell having legs that extend downwardly and attach to a central baffle which directs the flow stream of exhaust gases passing through the exhaust port, a closure element slidably engaged about the inner shell which is movable between an open position and a closed position, a deflector attached to the upper end of the inner shell for deflecting downdrafts and limiting the upward travel of the seal ring, and an outer shell attached to the deflector that houses the aforementioned components.
