Telecommunications method, and system suitable therefor, for establishing a connection with a mobile device, for example a GSM mobile radio telephone, of a participant, who is located in a VPLMN, the calling mobile participant in the VPLMN preparing and sending a short message, for example a USSD message, with the desired destination number, which will be passed on to a callback computer, which establishes a connection between the calling mobile participant and the desired destination number, and a connection being established with a called mobile participant in a VPLMN by a callback computer, whose number is assigned to this called mobile participant in the home location register. Before the establishment of a connection, checking, in a prepaid module connected to the callback computer, the remaining credit and the remaining airtime of the mobile participant with reference to stored prepaid amounts, or respectively with the aid of at least one tariff table and on the basis of an indication of location of this participant stored in the HLR of the HPLMN.

Telecommunications method and suitable system for establishing a connection with a mobile device

The invention relates to a telecommunication method and a system suitable for same for establishing a connection with a mobile station, for example a GSM mobile telephone, of a subscriber located in a visited public land mobile network. According to said method the calling mobile subscriber in the visited public land mobile network prepares a short message, for example an unstructured supplementary service data message with the desired destination number and sends said message, which is then transmitted to a callback computer which establishes a connection between the calling mobile subscriber and the desired destination number. A connection to a called mobile subscriber in a visited public land mobile network is established by a callback computer whose number is assigned to the called mobile subscriber in the home location register. Before a connection is established the remaining credit and airtime of the mobile subscriber is verified in a prepaid module connected to the callback computer, on the basis of prepaid amounts or with the aid of at least one schedule of telephone tariffs and on the basis of a location of said subscribers stored in the home location register of the home public land mobile network.

Telecommunication method and suitable system for establishing a connection with a mobile station

Telecommunication method which enables a subscriber of a home mobile radio network (HPLMN) to connect to a visited mobile radio network (VPLMN, VPLMN&prime;) without a roaming agreement with the home mobile radio network (HPLMN) in that the subscriber is assigned a first mobile subscriber identification (IMSI ) from the number range of his home mobile radio network (HPLMN) and a second IMSI number (IMSI ) from the number range of a partner network (PPLMN), the partner network having additional roaming agreements, and a common call number (MSISDN) being allocated to the two said IMSI numbers (IMSI , IMSI ). The two IMSI numbers (IMSI , IMSI ) may preferably be stored on a common or on different identification modules.

Roaming method and devices appropriate therefor

A signalling method and conversion device for telecommunications networks, for example mobile networks such as GSM or UMTS networks, wherein at least certain subscribers can register in their home network, or in a telecommunications network having a roaming agreement with the operator of their home network, using a first subscriber identification from the number area of their home operator, certain of these subscribers being assigned a second subscriber identification from the number area of a partner network operator with which these subscribers can register in a visited network with which operator their home network operator does not have a roaming agreement, the signalling traffic concerning subscribers who have been registered in such a visited network with a second subscriber identification number being conducted to the partner network, being filtered there, and being rerouted to their home network, and signalling traffic concerning such subscribers received in said partner network from said home network being rerouted to this said visited network.
