A device for drawing off gaseous and liquid media from an inflowing medium, in particular in a tank ventilation system, has the following features: a housing, a feed connection for introducing the inflowing medium into the housing, an outlet connection for drawing off the liquid medium at the lower side of the housing, an outlet connection for drawing off the gaseous medium at the upper side of the housing, a float chamber which is arranged between the outlet connections, a floating body which is arranged in the float chamber in a manner which allows it to be displaced in the longitudinal direction of the float chamber, a closing device for closing the float chamber with respect to the outlet connection for the liquid medium, a closing device for closing the float chamber with respect to the outlet connection for the gaseous medium, and a deflecting device for deflecting a longitudinal movement of the floating body within the float chamber into an opposite direction and for transmitting the said longitudinal movement to a tappet-shaped element for the purpose of opening the closing device of the float chamber with respect to the outlet connection for liquid media.

Device for drawing off gaseous and liquid media

A vehicle heating system having an additional heating component that can operate independently of the internal combustion engine is provided. When the additional heating component is not operating, the water flows through the coolant circuit loop between the internal combustion engine and the typical heat exchanger in a customary manner. The additional heating component includes a thermostatically actuated switching element which is designed in such a way that with the additional heating component operating, the water heated thereby flows exclusively through the traditional heat exchanger at a temperature below that set by the thermostatically actuated switching element. At a water temperature above that set by the thermostatically actuated switching element, the coolant heated by the additional heating component flows through the traditional heat exchanger and additionally through the internal combustion engine. In order to provide sufficient flow of coolant from the additional heating component through the internal combustion engine a device for creating a vacuum is disposed in the coolant circuit at the point where water flowing through the additional heating component enters the coolant circuit.

Heating system for vehicles

In a fuel tank venting system for a vehicle with an internal combustion engine having an air intake duct and an adsorption filter in which fuel vapors are adsorbed, a venting line extends from the adsorption filter to the air intake duct and includes a regeneration valve, and a bypass line is disposed in parallel with a section of the venting line and includes an air pump for pumping air from the adsorption filter to the air intake duct to provide for venting air flow particularly when the engine is operating under a high load where little vacuum is generated in the air intake duct.

Fuel tank venting system for a vehicle with an internal combustion engine

A heating device is provided for motor vehicles with a water-cooled internal combustion engine, which heating device has a heat exchanger which is acted on by the cooling water circuit of the internal combustion engine on the one hand and by an auxiliary heating unit which is independent of the internal combustion engine on the other hand. A thermostatically activated switching element causes the hot water to flow via the heat exchanger below a temperature prescribed by the thermostat, when the auxiliary heating unit is switched on, and to flow additionally via the internal combustion engine above this temperature, and causes the engine cooling water to flow via the heat exchanger when the auxiliary heating unit is switched off. In order to achieve low production costs and a large degree of robustness of the switching element it is equipped with a non-return valve whose blocking direction is directed from an outflow chamber to an inflow chamber. The inflow chamber and outflow chamber are connected to one another via at least one leakage hole. The thermostat is arranged in the inflow chamber and provided with an activation element which opens the non-return valve above a prescribed temperature in the inflow chamber and thus enables the through-flow from the outflow chamber to the inflow chamber.
