A gearbox arrangement (), which is arranged in a drive train of a multi-axle land vehicle (), in particular a commercial vehicle, or a similar means of transportation, wherein at least one of said axles is driven, wherein at least one planetary drive () is associated with each of the axle halves () of a driven axle. The gearbox arrangement comprises at least one sensor device () for detecting a steering manipulation on the vehicle () and a control device (). In order to have a gearbox arrangement () available that establishes a reliable, simply designed connection between the drive motor and driven wheels () with little effort and enables reliable control of the particular wheels () in regard to rotational speed and torque during drive and during deceleration, and thus realizes a controllable rotational speed compensation during cornering and significantly reduces the diameter and the constructed size of the power-split gearbox in particular for vehicles () having a high axle torque, the axle halves () are driven synchronously without differential and the control device () is provided with a hydrostatic device () that can be manipulated, by which hydrostatic device each of the wheels () rolling without slip maintains its torque.

Gearbox arrangement

Improvements in the existing procedures and materials for conduct of high gradient magnetic separation (HGMS) are disclosed. Superior superparamagnetic particles, optionally coated with a polysaccharide or other, usually organic, materials can be prepared in uniform compositions with homogeneous magnetizations. The coating can conveniently be conjugated to a specific binding moiety complementary to a biological material whose purification or separation is desired. In addition, plastic coated matrices which form superior magnetic gradient-intensifying supports are disclosed, along with improved methods and apparatus to conduct HGMS.

The invention relates to a kick starting means for change gears, in particular for retrofitting motorcycles of the company Harley-Davidson, U.S.A., with the name 'Big Twin', a cubic capacity of about 1340 cm.sup.3 and a five-speed change gear, which has been built since 1980. A kick starting axis 1 is located outside of a gear shaft level 2 formed by a gear drive axle 3 and a gear driven axle 4. To apply hard cutting particles, for example of tungsten carbide, on the surface of the cutting edge of a cutting tool, such as a saw blade, a drill, or the like, the cutting edge is partially melted by an energy beam, for example a laser beam, or an electron beam. A laser beam is preferred since, then, the process can be carried out in air, or in a protective gas atmosphere, rather than in a vacuum. The beam partially melts the cutting edge and the granules of the hard metal particles, preferably in a random grain size of between 0.3 to 1.5 mm is permitted to run down, over the partially melted surface, excess being collected for reuse; alternatively, the partially melted surface can be dipped into the granules, and permitted to solidify.

Phase break-section insulator devices for trolley contact wires of an overhead electrified railroad include parallel insulating rods joined up at their ends with two light weight crosspieces at each end. The rods have a glass fiber center surrounded by a tube of polytetrafluoroethylene, and this tube has grooves therein to prevent spread of moisture and dirt along the rod. Each rod end is joined to a metal sleeve, in turn joined to one of the end crosspieces. A contact wire clamp is secured between the two crosspieces at each end. A separate contact wire clamp adjacent each end of the device has current collector guides attached and extending along the device on opposite sides and also attached to the ends of the crosspieces. The crosspieces have openings for the contact wire and insulating rods to allow installation and adjustment of the device on the contact wire before this wire is cut. Similar crosspieces and guides may be used in the center section of a phase break. Supporting bars with weight reducing holes (as the guides also have) are attached to crosspieces for suspension of the device. Various guide, horn and arc extinguisher configurations are provided. Overlapping guides may be provided to provide no interruption of power when a current collector passes through a section insulator. Grooves may be provided all across insulating rods normally contacted by a current collector by adding an auxiliary current collector riding surface attached to the rods. Identical section insulator modules may be connected together by a grounded or ungrounded contact wire to provide a phase break.
