In a device for supplying a printing substrate web to an internal transport path of the printing substrate web of a printing device, a device accepts the printing substrate web from the printing substrate web source. A drive unit is provided at an output of the device and draws the printing substrate web from the device. A buffer device having a buffer reservoir is provided at an output of the drive unit. The buffer reservoir has a negative pressure device that generates a negative pressure in a buffer reservoir. The negative pressure acts on the printing substrate web to pull the printing substrate web drawn by the drive unit into the buffer reservoir and thereby tensions the printing substrate web before it is supplied to the internal transport path.

Device for feeding a printing-material web to an electrographic printing device

In a method and device for determination of a marking of an endless carrier material relevant for positioning of the endless carrier material to be printed in a printer or copier, the endless carrier material is inserted into the printer or copier. The endless carrier material is positioned in the printer or copier such that the marking is arranged in a detection region of a sensor arrangement. The pointing device is positioned at a position of the marking relevant for the positioning of the carrier material in the printer or copier. The position of the positioned pointing device is detected with aid of the sensor arrangement.

Method and device for determining the position of a mark of a continuous support material

In a method or device for guiding an endless web, the endless web is guided via a first positionable roll to an additional positionable roll with a predetermined angle of wrap on each roll, shafts of the rolls lying parallel to one another in a plane and being held by a frame. The web is fed to and led away from the positionable rolls via a respective first stationary roll and a respective additional stationary roll. The frame is pivoted relative to the stationary rolls about a first axis of rotation substantially perpendicular to the plane in order to modify a position of an edge of the web in a direction of the positionable roll shafts. The frame is pivoted relative to the stationary rolls about a second axis of rotation one component of which runs parallel to a movement direction of the web between the positionable rolls.

Device and method for guiding a continuous web by means of a pivotable apparatus

An apparatus and method is provided for threading a continuous web into a device arrangement having a first module and a second module connectable to and detachable from one another. First and second traction units are provided in the first and second modules. A gripper device grips a beginning section of the continuous web and is detachable to the traction units. The continuous web is pulled with the assistance of the gripper device from an input section to an output section of the respective module given movement of the traction units. A connector device connects the two traction units of the two modules to each other.

Device for inserting a continuous tape for a printing or copying system comprising modules

In processing web material, the material is passed through a guiding arrangement which has a plurality of guide elements. In order to enable removing the guide element for repair without disturbing the web material, each of the guide elements is provided with a lifting arrangement which is concentric to the guide element and is movable from one angular position withdrawn from the path of the elongated material engaging the guide element to a second position lifting the elongated material off of the guide element so that the guide element can be axially withdrawn from the machine.

Apparatus and method for simple replacement of component parts in a web-processing machine

A fixing station for a printer or copier includes a heating device for fusing toner to the carrier material and a cover that is selectively insertable between the heating element and the carrier material. The cover may be a window blind type cover. Where two sided fixing is provided, both heating devices have a cover. The cover may have an energy storage spring to cause the heating device to be covered in the event of an emergency. An electro-magnetic locking device may be provided to retain the cover in an open position.

An apparatus for transporting a band-shaped recording medium in an electrographic printing or copying device, includes a drive cylinder, a pressure cylinder mounted displaceably relative to the drive cylinder, and a pressure spring effecting a contact pressure of the pressure cylinder on the drive cylinder, wherein the recording medium is transported between the drive cylinder and the pressure cylinder by friction, and the drive cylinder adjoins the recording medium with a contact surface, and wherein the force effect of pressure spring is divided into a first, radial force component acting perpendicularly to the contact surface and a second force component received by a guide face guiding the pressure cylinder.
