The invention is directed to an adapter connector for connecting an insertable connector plug to a receiving socket. The adapter connector includes a body having an adapter socket defining a hollow cylinder for receiving the insertable connector plug therein. A clamping device presses in the hollow cylinder to tightly clamp the insertable connector plug therein. The body also has an adapter connector plug provided thereon to include an external cylinder with a projecting latch nose for insertion into the receiving socket.

The invention relates to an arrangement known generally as a PC-adapter or shift adapter. The objective is mounted on one component of the arrangement which can undergo a pivot movement relative to the image format thereby making possible the necessary movement of the objective relative to the image format. The pivot point is disposed as far as possible from the optical axis and outside of the beam pass-through opening of the arrangement.

Device for correcting perspective distortions

A control system for diaphragms of photographic cameras, of the type where the diaphragm is in a lens assembly interchangeably mounted on the camera, and the camera contains mechanism for controlling the aperture of the diaphragm. The diaphragm blades are moved, for adjusting the aperture, by rotation of the usual slotted ring, and the movement of this ring is non-linear; that is, the ring does not turn through equal distances in order to produce aperture changes through successive equal increments of the usual diaphragm aperture scale. The movements of the aperture determining mechanism within the camera body, however, are linear. According to the invention, the interchangeable lens assembly containing the diaphragm has a finger which engages the mechanism in the camera on which the assembly is mounted and which partakes of linear movements in accordance with the movements of the mechanism in the camera. This finger is coupled through a pivoted member controlled by a cam to the slotted ring which moves the diaphragm blades, so that the linear movement produced by the camera mechanism is transformed into a non-linear movement of the slotted ring in the interchangeable lens assembly.

Diaphragm control system

The invention provides a perspective-correction lens with an automatic-diaphragm feature which permits through-the-lens viewing at full brilliance, while also permitting the diaphragm to be set in accordance with photo-electric exposure measurements performed at the body of the camera to which the lens is mounted. Such automatic-diaphragm operation is correctly performed, regardless of the extent or direction of eccentric-offset adjustment of the lens with respect to the camera axis.
