The invention relates to a method for diagnosing a diaphragm valve having the following steps: a) providing at least one first quantity that characterizes a valve diaphragm, at least one second quantity that characterizes the diaphragm valve, and at least one third quantity that characterizes operation of the diaphragm valve to a determination device; determining a quantity that characterizes a current state of the valve diaphragm, in particular a current wear, from the first, second, and third quantities by means of the determination device by using at least one algorithm.

Method for diagnosing a diaphragm valve, and diagnosis system for a diaphragm valve

A method for operating a diaphragm valve including the step of reading out data, which characterize at least one property of a diaphragm of the diaphragm valve, from at least one data memory integrated into the diaphragm valve, by a reading device. The method further includes the steps of: (a) transmitting the read-out data to a processing device which is arranged remote from the reading device and the diaphragm valve and (b) synchronizing the transmitted data with data present in the processing device.

Method for operating a diaphragm valve, system and reading device

A diaphragm is described, wherein the diaphragm includes at least two layers, wherein at least one of the two layers is made of an elastomer, and wherein an electric circuit is provided between the two layers. In at least one of the two layers of the diaphragm, a conductive insert is provided, by means of which an electrical connection of the electric circuit to or from the outside of the diaphragm can be achieved.
