A constraint arrangement for a stent-graft loaded onto a delivery system having a suture extending circumferentially around a surface of a graft from a first fixed end fixed to a stent-graft to a positionable region, and through the graft at a first constraining perforation into the lumen and returning out of the lumen to the surface of the graft at a second constraining perforation to a second fixed end fixed to the stent-graft, thereby forming a loop of the suture within a lumen of the graft, the loop wrapped circumferentially around a cannula such that a pair of legs of the loop hold the positionable region with respect to the cannula, wherein a bight of the loop extends through a gap between the legs and wherein the release wire extends through the bight thereby capturing the bight and releasably securing the loop around the cannula.

Constraint arrangement for a stent-graft loaded onto a delivery system

An endograft introducer assembly having a transfer sheath is disclosed. The assembly includes a pusher assembly comprising a guide wire catheter, a tip mounted to a proximal end of the guide wire catheter, a stent graft receiving portion distal of the tip and a pusher distal of the receiving portion. The assembly further includes a transfer sheath extending distally over the stent graft receiving portion from a proximal position adjacent to the tip, the transfer sheath having a first length over the stent graft receiving portion; and a stopper disposed co-axially around the transfer sheath. The stopper has a proximal end terminating in a stopper surface and a distal portion, the distal portion removably engaged with the transfer sheath so as to prevent relative axial movement between the stopper and the transfer sheath in at least one direction.

Endograft introducer assembly having a transfer sheath

A pre-loaded stent graft delivery device and stent graft, the stent graft delivery device. The stent graft has at least one fenestration or side arm and the fenestration is preloaded with an indwelling guide wire. The indwelling guide wire are configured to receive the access sheaths. A handle assembly at a distal end of the guide wire catheter. The handle includes a multiport manifold with access ports to the auxiliary lumens in the pusher catheter. Upon deployment of the stent graft into the vasculature of a patient, the indwelling guide wire can be used to facilitate catheterization of a side branch or target vessel through the fenestration or be used to stabilize the access sheath during catheterization, advancement of the access sheath into the target vessel and deployment of a covered or uncovered stent therein through the access sheath.

A pre-loaded stent graft delivery device and stent graft, the stent graft delivery device. The stent graft has at least one fenestration or side arm and the fenestration is preloaded with an indwelling guide wire. Indwelling access sheaths are provided within auxiliary lumens of a pusher catheter and dilators are preloaded into the access sheaths along with the indwelling guide wire. A handle assembly at a distal end of the guide wire catheter. The handle includes a multiport manifold with access ports to the auxiliary lumens in the pusher catheter. A stent graft adaptor has an outer graft tube and an inner graft tube with the inner graft tube substantially concentric with and within the outer graft tube. A joining member extends between the inner tube and the outer tube. The joining member can be a continuous fold of graft material extending from a proximal end of the outer tube to a proximal end of the inner tube. The inner tube has at least one self expanding stent on an outer surface thereof and the outer graft tube has at least one self expanding stent on an inner surface. The outer surface of the outer tube provides a sealing surface to engage against the wall of a vessel and the inner tube provides a sealing surface to engage with a corresponding sealing surface of a stent graft deployed through it. The outer sealing surface can include barbs.

Stent graft adaptor

A flexible stent graft for deployment in a body vessel at a treatment site that includes a tubular body of graft material having circumferential crimps with alternative troughs and crests along its length, and a stent system comprising a plurality of circumferential turns which are attached at the crest.

Flexible stent graft

A capsule assembly for an endograft introducer is disclosed. The assembly comprises: a capsule retriever having a plug portion and a tail portion, the plug portion having a lead-in surface, the tail portion having an elongate body extending proximally from the plug portion to an end stop feature receiver; a capsule tube having an end stop feature at a proximal end thereof and terminating in a distal end, the end stop feature and the end stop receiver arranged such that proximal movement of the capsule tube relative to the plug portion is limited; and a capsule cavity inside the capsule tube, a proximal end of a prosthesis being receivable in the cavity. The capsule tube is slidably movable with respect to the capsule retriever to a position in which the distal end of the capsule tube is adjacent to the lead-in surface of the plug portion.

Endograft introducer and a capsule assembly for an endograft introducer

A stent graft has a cylindrical wall, an internal lumen within the cylindrical wall and a fenestration in the wall. The fenestration is closed off by a valve arrangement to prevent the flow of liquids from within the internal lumen to outside of the wall. The valve arrangement is a tube of graft material which can be closed off by pressure on its outside surface. The end of the tube remote from the fenestration can be held shut by having its periphery fastened to a flattened resilient ring. Fluid pressure on the tube of graft material causes the tube to close off to prevent fluid flow therethrough and by resilient deflection of the resilient ring the end of the tube of graft material can be opened to enable the passing of a medical device therethrough.

Stent graft with valve arrangement

An endovascular stent graft delivery device has portion to remain outside a patient in use and a proximal portion to be introduced into a patient. The proximal portion has a dilator at the proximal end and a length extending module is fastened to the dilator and extends proximally. The length extending module has a proximal end which in use extends out of the patient. The dilator has a dilator marker and the length extending module has a first and second marker at the distal and proximal ends of the length extending module. The first marker and the second marker are at the same relative circumferential position on the length extending module so that the rotational position of the elongate body within the patient can be determined.

Orientation markers for endovascular delivery system

A capsule assembly for an endograft introducer is disclosed. The assembly comprises: a capsule and a capsule plug. The capsule has a cavity for receiving an end of a stent graft and a capsule wall terminating in a distal end. The capsule plug comprises: a tip portion having a lead-in surface and an abutment surface; and a tail portion having an external surface engageable with an inside surface of the capsule wall. The capsule is slideably movable with respect to the capsule plug from a first position in which the distal end of the capsule wall surrounds an opening into the cavity to a second position in which the distal end of the capsule wall is positioned proximally with respect to the abutment surface, whereby movement of the tip portion into the capsule is resisted by abutment between the distal end of the capsule wall and the abutment surface.

An iliac artery stent graft has a substantially inverted Y shape comprising a second arm terminating in a second end, and first and third arms terminating respectively in a first end and a third end. Each of the arms comprising a tubular graft of biocompatible graft material and the three arms joined being at a junction to allow fluid flow from the second arm into the first and third arms. In use the first end is deployed within the common iliac artery extending towards the external iliac artery, the second end is deployed within the common iliac artery extending towards the iliac bifurcation and the third end is within the common iliac artery and extends towards the internal iliac artery. Each of the three arms are mutually at an angle of approximately 120 degrees to each other. In use the first and second legs form a U shape to allow a deployment device to be smoothly deployed.

Iliac stent graft

A stent graft () has at least one fenestration () or low profile side arm (). A guide assembly () surrounds the fenestration or low profile side arm. The guide assembly has a continuous wall extending laterally away from the outer surface of the stent graft. The continuous wall is substantially elliptical or circular and extends distally of the fenestration at a distal end of the wall and being coincident with a proximal part () of the periphery of the fenestration or low profile side arm at a proximal end of the wall (). The wall acts to define a guide area to guide a flexible probe extended from a side branch vessel to enter the fenestration or low profile side arm. Where there are two fenestrations or low profile side arms there can be a single continuous wall () around both or separate walls for each. The wall may have a peripheral wire reinforcement ().

Thoracic stent graft with guide arrangement

A flexible stent graft for deployment in a body vessel at a treatment site includes a tubular body, at least a first portion of which comprises a graft material and a coiled stent comprising a plurality of helical turns with spacings between the turns. The coiled stent is affixed to the graft material of the first portion. The first portion has a first portion diameter and the coiled stent has a helix diameter which is substantially the same as the first portion diameter. The coiled stent comprises a ratio of helical pitch to helix diameter of from about 1:2 to about 1:20, where the helical pitch is the spacing between adjacent turns of the coiled stent.
