A grate block for a combustion grate, wherein consecutive grate blocks are arranged one over the other in a staircase manner and rearrange to convey the combustible material during combustion by means of pushing motions performed in relation to each other. The grate block includes a block body including an upper wall forming a bearing surface, along which wall the combustible material is conveyed, and a front wall forming a push surface, which has first air supply openings formed by a first air supply channel for feeding air to the combustion grate, and a lower bearing edge intended to come into contact with the bearing surface of a grate block located adjacent in the pushing direction S. Further air supply channels, which traverse and are directed obliquely with respect to the direction of the first air supply channels, are arranged in the upper and front walls for cooling the walls.

Grate block for a combustion grate

A grate block including a block body formed as a cast part with a rear end and a front end that lies opposite the rear end in the conveying direction. The block body includes an upper wall which forms an outer rear bearing surface, running at least in part parallel to a longitudinal axis of the block body, for the waste that is to be treated, wherein the bearing surface defines a substantially horizontal plane. The block body further includes a raised nose arranged in the region of front end, which nose has an outer front bearing surface with a middle part that rises in the manner of a ramp in the conveying direction. The raised nose includes, following the outer front bearing surface, an apex and, after the apex in the conveying direction, a declining end portion with a discharge surface that drops away in a substantially arcuate manner.

Grate block with rising nose

A grate block for a combustion grate, wherein consecutive grate blocks are arranged in a staircase and are designed to rearrange and convey the combustible material during combustion through pushing motions. The grate block includes a block body, an upper wall forming a supporting surface, and an extension parallel to a longitudinal axis L of the body. The supporting surface drops into a pushing surface formed by a front wall, which has at least one air supply opening for supplying air to the combustion grate, which extends at a right angle or slant to the pushing surface. In the lowest region of the front wall, formed as a foot, which lays on the supporting surface of a grate block, is adjacent in the pushing direction. The front resting edge of the pushing surface is arranged in a plane E extending at a right angle to the longitudinal axis L.

A method for cooling solid residues of a combustion process, which are deposited onto the conveying surface of a conveyor belt of a conveying device and are conveyed in the direction of a solid residue outlet, wherein during conveying heat is transferred from the solid residues to a gaseous coolant. The method is characterized in that the conveyor belt is acted upon by coolant only on its side oriented away from the conveying surface, the conveyor belt is essentially impermeable to the coolant and at least part of the coolant heated by contact with the conveyor belt is extracted on that side oriented away from the conveying surface.

Method for cooling solid residues of a combustion process

A method processes slag occurring in a combustion chamber. An incineration grate is formed at least in its end region that is facing the slag-removing device as a separating grate, which has openings, via which the chamber is connected to a fine-slag discharge chamber, and at least one fine fraction of the slag is ejected through the openings into the discharge chamber and discharged in a substantially dry state, and the remaining coarse fraction is fed to the slag-removing device and discharged. In this case, the average particle size of the at least one fine fraction is smaller than the average particle size of the coarse fraction. The separating grate has at least in certain regions air feeds that are distributed over its entire width and via which air is fed in a controlled manner to the slag, and the air feeds are isolated from the openings and formed separately.

Method and device for processing slag occurring in a combustion chamber of a refuse incineration plant

A slag remover for discharging combustion residues of an incineration plant comprises a trough, which has a trough housing having two side walls, which define the trough width, and having a trough bottom, and which is intended to collect the combustion residues evacuated from a combustion chamber of the incineration plant. The trough further comprises at least two push rams for pushing the combustion residues out of the trough, and a shaft rotatably mounted in two shaft bearings and on which at least one drive lever cooperating with a cylinder-piston unit and at least two output levers connected to respectively one of the push rams are disposed in a rotationally secure manner. The cylinder-piston unit is here designed such that the push rams move back and forth between a retracted position and an extended position. The drive lever is disposed between two output levers.

Slag remover for discharging combustion residues of an incineration plant

The present invention relates to a grate element () for a grate of a waste-incineration plant, having a plurality of rows of grate blocks, which are moveable or fixed, arranged one behind the other, a plurality of grate blocks () being arranged in each row of grate blocks. A first number of grate blocks arranged in a moveable row of grate blocks here is assigned to a first grate carriage (), and a second number of grate blocks arranged in a moveable row of grate blocks is assigned to a second grate carriage (), it being possible for the first number of grate blocks to be moved independently of the second number of grate blocks.

Grate element for a grate of a waste combustion installation

A grate trough forms the lower part of a grate element which has a plurality of fixed and a plurality of movable grate block rows. The grate block rows each include a plurality of grate blocks suspended next to one another on a block holding element and connected firmly to one another. The grate trough forms a carrying element for the block holding tubes of the fixed grate block rows and support for a movable grate carriage carrying the block holding elements of the movable grate block rows. The grate trough has two side walls and also a front and a rear frontal wall, the frontal walls being arranged at right angles to the side walls. The side walls and the frontal walls are provided at their junction with projections and recesses which engage one into the other, with the result that the walls are held in an exact position. The length and width of the grate trough remain constant, even after welding, since the walls cannot be displaced relative to one another. The weld seam distortion and weld seam stress are minimized due to the offset of the weld seam lines. The mounting of the grate element becomes appreciably simpler.
