A semi-rigid panel of foam insulation is secured transversely between the front fenders and certain body structures of a motor vehicle at several locations. Specifically, the insulation is located and secured to the fender by a retainer or clip having a channel that receives the insulation panel; the panel includes projections or lugs that are complementary to and seat within with frame or body member openings, ribs or other features; is secured within an integrated bracket or holder in the upper plenum having a slot or channel having a width equal to the thickness of the insulation; and includes a hook or lip that is received within an air inlet of the heating and air conditioning system of the vehicle.

Securement of insulation in vehicle body structures

A motor vehicle includes a seat arrangement, a cargo space situated behind the seat arrangement, an adjustable loading panel arranged inside the cargo space, guide rails located in the cargo space for the adjustable, laterally guided accommodation of the adjustable loading panel, and slide or roller bearings for mounting the adjustable loading panel in the guide rails. An actuating handle is mounted in the adjustable loading panel and movable through exposure to a spring action for swiveling an eccentric mounted in the adjustable loading panel out of a position that fixes the adjustable loading panel in place and into a position that releases the adjustable loading panel for adjustment purposes, and for adjusting the adjustable loading panel.

A motor vehicle with a cargo space situated behind a seat arrangement and an adjustable loading panel arranged inside the cargo space is provided. Guides for adjustably accommodating the loading panel are located in the cargo space. Mounted in the loading panel is an actuating handle, which can be moved through exposure to a spring action for swiveling at least one eccentric mounted in the loading panel out of a position that fixes the loading panel in place into a position that releases the loading panel for adjustment purposes, and for adjusting the loading panel. The configuration makes it possible to ergonomically load the cargo space with the continuous adjustment and automatic braking of the loading panel.

A bionically designed plastic molded part is provided, in particular a carrier, for a motor vehicle, with at least one low-load region for accommodating relatively low loads, which is formed using thin-wall technology, and at least one high-load region for accommodating relatively high loads, which is formed using plastic foam technology and connected to at least one low-load region.

A motor vehicle is provided having at least one storage compartment, a storage compartment having at least one accommodation unit, and an accommodation unit for a storage compartment of a motor vehicle, including a plurality of frame sections making up a frame, with which the frame may mounted so as to be movable in the storage compartment, wherein in a space defined by the frame at least one retaining element of variable shape and connected to at least two frame sections is arranged to extend between the frame sections in the defined space, forming at least one restraining area.

A storage device is provided for objects in a motor vehicle, that includes, but is not limited to a side wall which laterally defines a receiving space for the objects, as well as an elongate, elastic band element, which is mounted in a hinged manner in the region of its ends facing away from each other in the side wall. The band element can be deformed from a first stable curved position into a second stable, oppositely curved position in which it projects into the receiving space. A band-shaped molding is mounted in the band element, which molding projects from the curved plane of the band element.
