The machine comprises a print-head (3) for printing characters on labels (11) which are borne by a strip (10) which passes over a print-platen (8). In order to prevent, in reliable, rapid and space-saving manner, a second printing as a result of a rebound of the head (3) on the platen (8), this machine comprises: a lever (35) having two arms forming a V (36, 37) of alternate angular movement synchronized with the movements of the head (3), with dihedral (40) of elasitc return, pivoted in the platen (8) and urged alternately in one direction and the other by a pusher (30) which is integral with the head (3) and by a retraction arm (43) which is integral with an inking device (25, 26, 27) for preventing the return of the head (3) as the result of a rebound, by engagement of an arm (36) in a detention notch (32-33) which is integral with the head (3).

Portable labeling machine

Wide screen film frames are scanned in full width and in a first intermediate store a horizontal section of the frame is defined by a read-out start address and expanded by reading out at a lower speed. Only a part of the desired expansion is produced before the picture is stored for interlaced read-out in pairs of television fields. Thereafter the rest of the desired expansion is produced, with a further selection of the portion of each line to be viewed. Varying the read-out start address to shift the section of the picture to be reproduced in television form is done frame by frame in the first store and field by field in the second store and the two shift adjustments can be programmed in combination for smooth transitions.

Television scanning of wide frame motion picture films

A method and apparatus is proposed for the H and V-contour correction of a digitized video signal wherein after deriving a digital correction signal, both the main video signal and the correction signal are D/A converted. The H and V-detail signals are then derived from the analogue correction signal, are combined with a contour correction signal and are added in a suitable manner to the main video signal.

Method for horizontal and vertical contour correction of a digitized

For the line-by-line optical scanning of a film as it passes at high speed through a scanning region, particularly to obtain television image signals, a light source directs light to a sensor. To reduce friction of the film adjacent the scanning region, two rollers or endless belts support the film at positions on the film outside the film frames. These rollers or belts replace the previously usual stationary film guide shoes adjacent the film gate. Lateral guidance of the film can be provided by rollers.

Apparatus for the line by line optical scanning of a film

A method and a circuit for the additive and multiplicative spurious signal compensation of a video signal are proposed. For additive spurious signal compensation, a signal is derived from the 'black level' signal, stored, read-out in synchronism with the video signal to be corrected and the thus formed correction signal is subtracted from the video signal. For multiplicative spurious signal compensation, a signal is derived from the 'white level' signal, its reciprocal value is formed, stored, read-out in synchronism with the video signal to be corrected and the thus formed correction signal is multiplied with the video signal. A three channel system for color television signals is disclosed.
