A device for spreading granulate, particularly for spreading sand into the gap between a rail and a wheel of a rail vehicle, includes a housing, at least one inlet for the granulate and at least one outlet for the granulate, an axially movable metering piston and a compressed air connection, which leads into a pressure chamber and serves for actuating the metering piston by compressed air to meter the granulate. At least one bore is provided in the metering piston. To create a device which is of particularly simple and compact construction, a conveying air chamber separated from the pressure chamber and has a compressed air connection is provided, and at least one bore in the metering piston connects the conveying air chamber to the at least one outlet for the granulate, such that granulate can be conveyed to the at least one outlet by compressed air independently of the metering process.

Device for spreading granulate

A method for controlling a device for metering granular material and a metering device for metering granular material comprises a feed for the granular material from a container into a metering chamber. A metering piston can be actuated by a control device such that a gap between the feed and the metering chamber is opened by a predefined first distance and a second distance which is greater than the first distance. At least one sensor is arranged in a delivery line leading away from the metering chamber and is connected to the control device so that the metering piston can be actuated for a predefined duration such that the gap between the feed for the granular material and the metering chamber can be opened by the second distance if a blockage of the granular material is detected by the at least one sensor, so that the blockage is dispersed.

Granular material metering device and method

An apparatus for filling a container with bulk material, in particular sand, comprises a storage container for the bulk material with a closable lid and an outlet, a metering device arranged beneath the storage container and a pneumatic feeding device arranged under the metering device for feeding the bulk material into the container to be filled with the aid of compressed air via a feed hose. The feeding device has an injector with a plurality of, preferably at least five, holes for the compressed air.

Apparatus for filling a container with bulk material

A discharge device for granular materials, with a housing having at least one inlet for the granular materials, and with a rotor that is connected to a motor, rotates about an axis of rotation and has multiple vanes and chambers located between the vanes, the granular materials being conveyable from the at least one inlet to at least one outlet when the rotor rotates. The axis of rotation of the rotor is vertical and the rotor is preferably arranged inside an essentially cylindrical wear liner.

Discharge device for granular material

A metering device for granular material, includes a housing that can be arranged inside a container for the granular material. The housing has at least one inlet for the granular material and an outlet, which outlet can be closed by a sealing element. The sealing element is arranged on a metering piston, which is preloaded by a spring and can be moved axially in a compressed-air cylinder, wherein a compressed-air connection is provided on the compressed-air cylinder such that the metering piston can be moved against the spring by compressed air and the outlet can be opened, and the spring has an at least two-stage design such that the stroke of the metering piston can be changed at least in two stages by varying the compressed air.

Metering device for granular material

A sand dosing and blocking device for sand spreading systems for vehicles, particularly rail vehicles with drive, has a sand supply container with an outlet opening which can be closed by a closing element for the dosed release of sand to a conveyor unit which is preferably pneumatically activated. The closing element is formed by a lifting rod of an electrically activated lifting magnet. The lifting magnet is arranged inside the sand supply container in the area of the outlet opening. Frequency control of the lifting magnet varies the dosed flow of sand, which may be varied in response to vehicle wheel speed.

Sand dosing and blocking device

A system for spreading spreadings in front of the wheels of vehicles, in particular, rail vehicles, including at least one container for the spreadings, at least one device arranged below each spreadings container for metering the spreadings with an outlet opening for dispensing the metered spreadings and at least two devices for conveying the metered spreadings over at least two conveyor lines. The conveyor devices provided for the metering device are made up of a pneumatically operated multiple injector arranged beneath the outlet opening, with at least two separate cavities for the dispensing of the metered spreadings, with one compressed air connector per cavity, and a connector for the conveyor line in each cavity opposite the compressed air connection.

The invention relates to a filter installation having at least one filter element for the filtering of a crude gas containing impurities, in particular particulate impurities. The crude gas flow to be filtered can be supplied to the filter installation via a crude gas line and at least two filter modules, each having at least one filter element, are provided. Each filter module is fluidly connected to the crude gas line via a module crude gas line through which a part of the crude gas flow can be supplied to the respective filter module. Each module crude gas line has a blocking member through which the supply of the respective partial crude gas flow can be interrupted for the cleaning of the filter element of the respective filter module.

A method of cleaning dryer exhaust gases during the drying of wood chips, wood fibers and the like is described in which at least one part of the dryer exhaust gases is filtered at a temperature lying above its dew point. At least one part of the particles which are filtered out in this way is conveyed, together with flushing air which likewise has a temperature above the dew point, substantially continuously into a combustion chamber and is burned there for hot gas generation.
