Apparatus, systems, and methods may operate to publish one or more stored back end data models accessible to a user interface and a development environment; to receive a configuration context; to generate derived model attributes by filtering, according to the configuration context, back end data attributes associated with the stored back end data models; to derive a set of mapping rules based on the derived model attributes; and store the set of mapping rules to be used to direct run-time data model request transformation activity. Further activities may include receiving an end-user request from a displayed user interface, transforming the end-user request into a transformed request according to the stored set of mapping rules, and transmitting the transformed request to one of the stored back end data models. Data model access configuration and customization

A computer-implemented framework for a composite application includes an object access layer to exchange data with enterprise base systems and to present the data to a composite application through a uniform interface, a business object modeling layer including a business object modeler to provide a user interface (UI) for constructing a business object, and a service layer to enable services to the composite application, the service layer including a collaboration services module to enable collaboration services to the composite application, the business object modeling layer linking at least one of the collaboration services associated with the business object to the business object.

Framework for a composite application and a method of implementing a frame work for a composite application

A system and method for application data model content delivery and activation. Delivery of core objects are made separately from the appended objects. In an activation process, a single object is created from each core object and the assigned appends. A customer can use and change each of these single activated objects. In an active version, all necessary appends are collected and assembled. In that way, objects can be easily enhanced for industry or country-specific attributes or fields, or other enhancements. In a development system, the active version includes all appends to ensure a correct runtime behavior.
