A data transmission system with distributed control functionality for machine tools, production machines, and robots, having a plurality of control functional units, has a respectively networked movement control system which controls the operation of the control functional units in complex processes. Information relating to movement control can be interchanged by means of real-time cross-communication between the control functional units. An Ethernet link can be used for real-time cross-communication. The use of the data transmission system for printing machines also represents an advantageous application of the invention.

Data transmission system having distributed control functionality

The objective is to reduce the downtime of a printing system in the printing industry. Provision is therefore made to supply the drive regulators () of a printing system () simultaneously with a plurality of clock signals. Each of the drive regulators () independently selects one of the clock signals for synchronization. In the event of failure of a signal source, the printing system is not interrupted but the drive regulators () switch automatically to the clock still present.

The invention relates to a control method and a control device for the operation of rotationally or linearly driven axes with a position control. This involves determining the difference between the setpoint position value (LS) and actual position value (WI) caused by an additional movement component during the time period of the occurrence of at least one superposed movement by subtraction of one value from the other. Furthermore, it is possible to eliminate movement components which are known, periodic and can be mathematically determined as desired from all the required control data paths during the time period of the superposed movement.

An electrical drive system for angular positioning of one or several rotating and/or tilting machine components and equipment components, particularly of printing machines, including at least one electric motor having a rotor designed for rigid and direct coupling to the component, further including by one or several angle encoders for registering the angular motion of the rotor of the electric motor and/or the component, a signal processing module which receives the actual angle position signals from the angle encoder or encoders and which also receives the setpoint data for comparison with the actual data, and a power amplifier controlled by the signal processor and used for driving the electric motor.
