A telecommunications jack adapter for receiving multiple types of jacks can include an opening structure having a main body defining a central opening for receiving a first jack type having a first dimension and a second jack type having a second dimension greater than the first dimension, wherein the main body is flexible such that the opening structure matches the first dimension in a relaxed state and matches the second dimension in an expanded state. In some examples, the main body has deflectable latch members configured to engage with an opening structure configured to receive a third jack type.

An opening structure for receiving a telecommunications jack can include a main body defining a central passageway, a first attachment arrangement for securing a first jack type to the main body within the central passageway, a second attachment arrangement for securing a second jack type to the main body within the central passageway, and a third attachment arrangement for securing a third jack type to the main body within the central passageway, wherein the first, second, and third jack types have different connection arrangements for facilitating connection to an opening structure.

A system for improved cable management is disclosed in several example embodiments. The disclosed embodiments describe example structures for supporting cables, for example telecommunications and fiber optic cables, within a cable storage cabinet. The disclosed embodiments also describe a door for a cable storage cabinet. The example door includes a hinge control and handle system which allows the door to be opened along either side to therefore allow the door to be opened either way from a single handle. The disclosed embodiments also describes an indicator system which informs a user when the door for the cable storage cabinet is in either a closed position or an open position. Each of these embodiments improves the utility and safety of cable management, particularly within cable storage cabinets.

Aspects and techniques of the present disclosure relate to a tool capable of terminating two different jack types (i.e. communication modules). That is, two different jack types can be arranged and configured to sit in the tool with a termination device. The tool can be a dual-purpose tool that has a configuration that allows a user to terminate different style jacks by adding termination device that becomes a lacing fixture.

The present invention relates to a communication patch panel and a communication rack system having the communication patch panel. The communication patch panel includes a panel body () having two ends as well as a front side () and a rear side. One aspect of the present disclosure relates to a finger clip for providing controlled cable access to a cable routing aperture through a gap defined between adjacent first and second cable management members. The finger clip can be constructed and arranged for slidable engagement with at least one of a first extension of the first cable management member and a second extension of the second cable management member such that the finger clip can slide between an open position in which the gap is unobscured by the main body and a closed position in which the gap is closed by the main body.
