A PSA-type liquid crystal composition includes a host liquid crystal A and a polymerizable component B, where the host liquid crystal A includes one or more liquid crystal compounds, and the polymerizable component B includes at least one compound selected from compounds of general formula I-1, general formula I-2 and general formula I-3. A liquid crystal display device includes the PSA-type liquid crystal composition above. The PSA-type liquid crystal composition has better intersolubility, cannot be crystallized at a low-temperature environment, can form a relatively stable pretilt angle after the polymerization of the polymerizable component, avoids the image sticking, and inhibits the occurrence of a display defect, such as Zara Particle, during the polymerization.

PSA-type liquid crystal composition and display device having same

A liquid crystal composition contains: at least one compound of general formula I and at least one polymerizable compound of general formula II. Such a liquid crystal composition has a suitable optical anisotropy, a suitable dielectric anisotropy, and a better pretilt angle consistency while maintaining a relatively high clearing point, and the drop mura is good. When the liquid crystal composition is applied to a PSA liquid crystal display, the liquid crystal composition has an excellent display effect.

Disclosed are a liquid crystal composition and a liquid crystal display device. The liquid crystal composition comprises at least one compound of general formula I, at least one compound of general formula II, at least one compound of general formula III, and at least one compound of general formula IV. By compounding the four compounds, the composition can have advantages of a wide temperature range of nematic phase, a low viscosity and a low threshold voltage, and the liquid crystal display element can have a short response time and great power saving performance.

The present invention provides a polymerizable compound with a structure of general formula I, which exhibits none or few of the problems existing in the prior art. A polymerizable liquid crystal composition comprising the polymerizable compound has good stability and higher reliability, and is embodied by having a smaller pretilt angle change and higher voltage holding ratio. Polymerizable compound and application thereof

A compound having the structure of general formula I is useful as a liquid crystal composition and as a photoelectric display device including the liquid crystal composition. The compound having the structure of general formula I is chemically and physically stable, and has higher clearing point, and both large dielectric anisotropy and large optical anisotropy at the same time. The compound having the structure of general formula I is well compatible with other liquid crystal compounds when applied in a liquid crystal composition, the composition has good stability especially in a low-temperature environment, the characteristic of fast response and a wide range of applicabilities, especially applicable to the IPS-type and TN-TFT-type liquid crystal display devices.

Liquid crystal composition and liquid crystal display device thereof

Provided is a liquid crystal composition, comprising: 1-30% of one or more compounds of general formula I; 1-50% of one or more compounds of general formula II; 1-20% of one or more compounds of general formula III; 20-70% of one or more compounds of general formula IV; and 1-30% of one or more compounds of general formula V. The liquid crystal composition has properties such as a large maximum absolute transmittance, a high voltage holding ratio, better anti-UV properties, and high temperature reliability, and has a suitable optical anisotropy, a suitable dielectric anisotropy, and a relatively high clearing point, and is environmentally friendly. A liquid crystal composition comprises a compound of general formula I serving as a first component; a compound of general formula II-1 and/or general formula II-2 serving as a second component; a compound of general formula III serving as a third component; a compound of general formula IV serving as a fourth component; a compound of general formula V serving as a fifth component; and a compound of general formula VI serving as a sixth component. The liquid crystal composition has at least one characteristic among the characteristics of a large dielectric anisotropy, a large optical anisotropy, a high voltage holding ratio and a low threshold voltage and the like, and is suitable to be used in a liquid crystal display device. Additionally, a liquid crystal display device comprising the liquid crystal composition is also provided.

The present invention discloses a liquid crystal composition comprising: 15-35% by weight of a compound of general formula I; 3-20% by weight of a compound of general formula II; 5-30% by weight of a compound of general formula III; 1-20% by weight of a compound of general formula IV; 10-35% by weight of a compound of general formula V-1 and/or a compound of general formula V-2; and 1-25% by weight of a compound of general formula VI. The liquid crystal composition provided by the present invention has the characteristics of an appropriate optical anisotropy, an appropriate dielectric anisotropy, a higher clearing point, a better voltage holding ratio, and a good UV-resistant stability, etc., and can be applied to a liquid crystal display. 

Liquid crystal composition having negative dielectric anisotropy and display device thereof

The present invention discloses a liquid crystal composition and a display device containing the same. The liquid crystal composition comprises one or more compounds of general Formula I; one or more compounds of general Formula II; and one or more compounds of general Formula III. The liquid crystal composition provided in the present invention has the properties of large optical and dielectric anisotropies, high clearing point, fast response speed, high resistivity, and good high-temperature and UV stability, and is applicable to a liquid crystal display (LCD), and particularly an LCD display requiring fast response speed, such that a good display effect of images without ghosting can be achieved when the LCD display works in a harsh environment.
