Methods and systems for processing a financial instrument, such as a check, are provided. An example method includes performing a text extraction process on a check image to obtain check textual information, and decoding an intelligent mail barcode (IMB) in the check image to obtain a character code. The method further includes utilizing the character code to extract encoded check information including a payee ZIP code from the IMB. The method also includes performing a fraud detection process on the check image based on at least one of (1) scores generated during the text extraction process, or (2) inconsistency between the check textual information and the encoded check information.

A method comprises storing a plurality of accounts and generating a hierarchical data structure from the plurality of accounts by: identifying a first set of accounts and a second set of accounts responsive to the first set of accounts and the second set of accounts satisfying a first set of rules; linking the first set of accounts to a first entity profile and the second set of accounts to a second entity profile; and responsive to the first plurality of profile values and the second plurality of profile values of the second entity profile satisfying a second set of rules, linking the first entity profile and the second entity profile to a group entity profile.

Managing hierarchical data structures for entity matching

A method comprises storing a plurality of accounts; and generating a hierarchical data structure from the plurality of accounts by: identifying a first set of accounts and a second set of accounts responsive to the first set of accounts and the second set of accounts satisfying a first set of rules; linking the first set of accounts to a first entity profile and the second set of accounts to a second entity profile; and responsive to the first plurality of profile attribute-value pairs and the second plurality of profile attribute-value pairs of the second entity profile satisfying a second set of rules, linking the first entity profile and the second entity profile to a household entity profile by inserting a household identifier into a household attribute-value pair of each account of the first set of accounts and the second set of accounts.

Disclosed are a method, a system, and a non-transitory computer readable medium for identifying data entries associated with an entity. A first rule is applied on a plurality of data entries associated with a plurality of entities to obtain a first set of data entries from the plurality of data entries. Each data entry includes corresponding attributes. The first rule is to search for data entries with a first group of attributes. A second rule is applied on the plurality of data entries associated with a plurality of entities to obtain a second set of data entries from the plurality of data entries. The second rule is to search for data entries with a second group of attributes. A third set of data entries associated with a single entity is obtained based on the first set of data entries and the second set of data entries.
