Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify a throttling indicator for a shared resource associated with a modem at the UE. The CE may determine a configuration of the modem based on a configuration received from a Radio Resource Control layer of the UE. Based on the modem configuration and the throttling indicator, the UE may identify a throttling level to apply to the modem. The UE may adjust the modem configuration for communicating with a base station based on the throttling level in order to reduce resource usage below a usage threshold. By reducing usage of the shared resource by the modem, the UE may have a greater availability of the shared resource to meet the needs of other components of the UE. This may provide an improved user experience at the UE, among other benefits.

Synchronization signal block reception in wireless communications

This disclosure relates to techniques for improving capability signaling and performing search space set switching, particularly with large sub-carrier spacings, as in high frequency ranges. In various scenarios, a user equipment (UE) device may signal its capability to perform multi-slot PDCCH monitoring and/or single-slot PDCCH monitoring, e.g., at various sub-carrier spacings, for various PDCCH/DCI types, etc. Various technical difficulties in this area are addressed, including increasing flexibility and versatility in capability signaling, overbooking, signaling and timing of search space set switching, and beam sweeping transmission of DCI Format 2_0, among others.

Uplink skipping with multiple configured grants without LCH-based prioritization

Disclosed are methods and apparatus for multiplexing of uplink control information on uplink data channels in wireless communication. It may be determined that transmission of a plurality of physical uplink shared channels (PUSCHs) are scheduled. The transmission of the plurality of PUSCHs may overlap with transmission of an uplink control information (UCI). At most one of the plurality of PUSCHs on to which the UCI is multiplexed may be determined based on a Downlink Assignment Index (DAI) value. The plurality of PUSCHs may be set with no more than one PUSCH having the DAI value not equal to four. Thereafter, the determined PUSCH is transmitted with the UCI multiplexed on it.

Some aspects of this disclosure relate to apparatuses and methods for implementing techniques for a user equipment (UE) to transmit a configured grant (CG) physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) including an uplink control information (UCI) without transmitting a physical uplink control channel (PUCCH). The UE determines, based on a configuration received from the base station, a first set of CG PUSCHs. Each CG PUSCH of the first set of CG PUSCHs overlaps with the PUCCH, and is configured to transmit data from the UE to the base station. The UE further determines a second set of CG PUSCHs by excluding a third set of CG PUSCHs from the first set of CG PUSCHs. and select a CG PUSCH from the second set of CG PUSCHs to carry the UCI contained in the PUCCH. The UE further transmits the selected CG PUSCH including the UCI without transmitting the PUCCH.

A user equipment (UE) may control override of a first grant of a first radio resource by a second grant of a second radio resource. Performing UCI multiplexing includes generating PUCCH resources Z at an L1 HP procedure and an L1 LP procedure. The L1 HP procedure and the L1 LP procedure results in a plurality of HP PUCCHs and LP PUCCHs, respectively. A modified procedure for Set Q to resources Z is performed with the plurality of HP PUCCHs and LP PUCCHs as inputs. The plurality of HP PUCCHs according to starting symbols is scanned to identify an earliest starting HP PUCCH. The modified procedure is repeated until there is no overlap among the HP PUCCHs and the LP PUCCHs.
