User equipment includes a first antenna, a second antenna, a first transceiver coupled to the first antenna, a second transceiver coupled to the second antenna, and processing circuitry communicatively coupled to the first transceiver and the second transceiver. The first transceiver receives or transmits a first signal via the first antenna, and the second transceiver receives or transmits a second signal via the second antenna. The processing circuitry receives an indication that a signal characteristic of the first signal is less than a first threshold, and decreases power to the first antenna, the first receiver, or both, based on the signal characteristic of the first signal being less than the first threshold.

Dynamic activation of network hardware based on real-time conditions

This disclosure relates to techniques for multi-RAT and DSDA capable wireless devices to handle frame blanking in a wireless communication system. A wireless device may establish wireless links according to a first radio access technology and a second radio access technology. The wireless device may determine to perform transmit and receive blanking for one or more antennas of the wireless device for the first radio access technology to perform sounding reference signal transmissions for the second radio access technology based at least in part on a band combination for the wireless links. The wireless device may determine a modification to channel state feedback reporting for the first radio access technology based at least in part on the transmit and receive blanking. The wireless device may perform channel state feedback reporting using the determined modification.

Handling transmit and receive blanking for multi-RAT and DSDA capable wireless devices

Apparatuses, systems, and methods for RACH procedures to avoid excessive handover/secondary cell group failures. A base station may declare a handover and/or secondary cell group (SCG) failure and may determine that a failure threshold has been met. The base station may perform a remedial action in response to meeting the failure threshold. The failure threshold may be multi-dimensional, where a first dimension is associated with a number of handover/SCG failures and where a second dimension is associated with a time period in which the number of handover/SCG failures occurred. Further, a third dimension may be associated with a UE mobility state and a fourth dimension may be associated with whether the UE is using FR1 or FR2. The remedial action in response to meeting the failure threshold may include the base station suspending transmission of measurement object configurations for a specified period of time.

5G NR efficient FR1/FR2 operation

A user equipment (UE) is configured to establish network connections for long-term evolution (LTE) and new radio (NR) radio access technologies (RATS) in non-standalone (NSA) E-UTRA-NR dual connectivity (ENDC) operation. The UE includes a multi-antenna array for data and signaling transmissions and receptions over the LTE and NR connections. The UE determines a most efficient antenna of the multi-antenna array for an operating frequency band of the LTE and NR connections, wherein the most efficient antenna is determined based on at least one performance factor for the UE when using the antenna compared to other antennas of the multi-antenna array, evaluates one or more factors for determining whether the LTE RAT or the NR RAT is to use the most efficient antenna and transmits uplink data on the most efficient antenna via either the LTE RAT or the NR RAT based on the evaluated factors.
