Various embodiments may provide a memory cell. The memory cell may include an active electrode including an active electrode material. The memory cell may also include a first noble electrode contact with the active electrode, the first noble electrode being a patterned electrode including a noble electrode material. The memory cell may further include a resistive switching layer in contact with the active electrode and the first noble electrode. The memory cell may additionally include a second noble electrode including a noble electrode material, the second noble electrode in contact with the resistive switching layer.

A diode and a memory device having a diode are provided. The diode includes a semiconductor layer and phase change material layer. The semiconductor layer and the phase change material layer have different energy bandgaps and different carrier concentrations such that an isotype heterojunction is formed at a boundary interface between the semiconductor layer and the phase change material layer.

The invention relates to a phase change magnetic composite material for use in an information recording medium, said material comprising a phase change material component, and a ferromagnetic material component, wherein said material exhibits both magnetic effects and phase change effects, and is usable for optical media, phase change random access memory (PCRAM) devices, magnetic random access memory (MRAM) devices, solid state memory devices, sensor devices, logical devices, cognitive devices, artificial neuron network, three level device, control device, SOC (system on chip) device, and semiconductors.

Phase change magnetic material

This invention relates to a method and apparatus for cleaning solid surfaces like Si substrate, disk or magnetic head slider where contaminants, including organic contaminants, especially particles in the micron or sub-micron scale are effectively remove from the solid surfaces. The invention achieves this by generating a strong laser-induced liquid jet and shock wave near the solid surfaces immersed in liquid. The liquid is a solution of water and other solvents to help reduce adhesion force and enhance cleaning efficiency.
