A method, non-transitory computer readable medium, and apparatus for recommending a food item are disclosed. For example, the method receives one or more food item data communications over a short range communications protocol that are pushed to a mobile endpoint device, filters the one or more food item data communications in accordance with a food item filter pre-defined by a user to identify an acceptable food item to recommend to the user and recommends the acceptable food item to the user.

A first computing device receives information associated with a first set of computational resources from a cloud infrastructure. The first set of parameters is indicative of a need of the first set of computational resources by the first computing device. One or more computational resources from the first set of computational resources are sub-allocated based on the determined first set of parameters.

A consolidator module can be used to consolidate subcomponents worked on by the respective workers into one worked-on document or file for validation purposes. A file storage system includes one or more document input devices and a processor communicating with both a memory and the one or more document input devices. The processor executes a software application stored on the memory to separate a sensitive portion of a document from an insensitive portion of a document. A first type of cloud storage includes one or more storage devices in operable communication with the one or more document input devices. The first type of cloud storage is configured to store one or both of the separated portions with a level of encryption agreed upon by a user. A second type of cloud storage includes one or more storage devices in operable communication with the one or more document input devices. The second type of cloud storage is configured to store the insensitive portion of a document based on a consent of the user.

System and method for policy-driven file segmentation and inter-cloud file storage and retrieval

A method and system for enabling automatic service sharing and custom user interface features in a fleet of multi-function devices. EIP (Extensible Interface Platform) services can be registered via a peer-to-peer discovery subsystem associated with a multi-function device grid infrastructure. EIP service registration information can be submitted and stored in the grid infrastructure. The multi-function devices can be equipped with an enterprise EIP client, which can query the discovery subsystem and apply a corporate policy. The discovery subsystem detects the optimal instance of the service based on loading and availability factors and then returns a reference with respect to the services that allows access to enhanced services. Such an approach enables a fleet of multi-function devices to dynamically discover EIP services and auto populate service options to provide increased capability, reduced complexity, and improved speed.

Method and system for automatic sharing and custom user interface features in a fleet of multi-function devices

A printing system disposed in a local or wide area network in which one of a plurality of queries is transmitted from a client to a server for obtaining a set of information including both a file with static information and a subset of dynamic information is provided. The subset of dynamic information varies as a function of one or more print related characteristics of a document processing system with which the server communicates. The printing system includes a parsing subsystem, communicating with the client for receiving the one of the plurality of queries, the parsing subsystem facilitating the obtaining of the set of information by copying a portion of the file, in response to reading a first instruction, and communicating the copied portion at the server for storage thereat. The printing system further includes a query resolving subsystem, communicating with the parsing subsystem, for obtaining the subset of dynamic information from the document processing system in response to the parsing system reading a second instruction. In practice, the copied portion of the file and the subset of dynamic information are combined for output thereof at the client.

A document server is provided for processing a distribution job in a document processing system. The document processing system includes a document manager, communicating with first and second virtual services, for coordinating the storing or processing of first and second copies of an image data set at the first and second virtual services, respectively. The document processing system further includes a distribution agent, communicating with the document manager, for receiving a first job ticket, including attributes for controlling the storing or processing of the first copy of the image data set at the first virtual service and a second job ticket for controlling the storing or processing of the second copy of the image data set at the second virtual service. The document manager and the distribution agent function cooperatively to provide the document server with the capability to halt the processing of the first and second copies of the image data set in order for altering attributes of the first and second job tickets, and to determine the status of the processing of the first and second copies of the image data set. Moreover, the distribution agent can provide values for attributes of the first and second job tickets when a user does not program those values in the first and second job tickets.
