Photopolymerizable plastisol and organosol photoresist and solder mask coating compositions are described herein. These compositions include an ethylenically unsaturated photopolymerizable liquid plasticizer; a particulate, thermoplastic resin is dispersed in the plasticizer, the said resin having a midpoint Tg greater than 110.degree. C. and an acid number greater than 110; a tertiary amine stabilizer; and a photoinitiator. The organosol includes a diluent along with the other ingredients.

A resin composition comprises an acrylated polyester, the polyester being the reaction product of an equivalent excess of 1,6-hexanediol and an aromatic polycarboxylic acid or anhydride, preferably trimellitic anhydride. In the preferred embodiment, the reaction product includes a highly ethoxylated triacrylate. Upon UV initiated polymerization or copolymerization, improved clear coatings for 'no-wax' resilient floors are obtained. These coatings have better resistance to household and other stains than commercial urethane/acrylate floor coverings.

A rigid tile has a flexible interlocking edge configuration and a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer. To increase the ease of installation, an inert powder is dusted on the periphery of the adhesive layer.

A seam cleaning paste, cream or liquid is disclosed, which comprises a hydrocarbon solvent and a finely divided inorganic powder. Treatment of the area near the seams of various types of floor coverings, especially highly stain resistant and soil resistant floor coverings, does not significantly change the appearance of the floor nor its resistance to soiling or staining. Yet it results in much improved adhesion of certain seam coaters subsequently applied to bridge the seam and prevent dirt from lodging therein. These creams do not exaggerate bubble formation in subsequently applied seam coaters and in fact, preferred embodiments help prevent such bubbles from forming.

A water reaction synthesis with polyoxyethylene diol, diisocyanate and dibutyltin bis lauryl mercaptide produces a high molecular weight thermoplastic polyurethane-urea linear polymer with surface resistivity 10.sup.11 -10.sup.6 ohm/sq. Thermoplastic and/or elastomeric antistatic compositions containing other melt processable polymers and/or filler, and the polymer exhibit permanent protection. Antistatic protection can be increased when the polymer complexes with a metal salt such as lithium chloride, or lithium acetate. The composition is useful in the manufacture of antistatic floor coverings and textile texturing and drafting elements such as cots and aprons.

Conductive polyurethane-urea/polyethylene oxide polymer

The floor covering of the present invention has a wear layer and/or seam coater which is a high T.sub.g urethane composition. While most floor covering urethanes have a T.sub.g of from 18.degree. C. to 23.degree. C., the T.sub.g of the present urethane is above about 40.degree. C., and preferably from about 48.degree. C. to about 55.degree. C. The T.sub.g of the prior art has been increased by altering the composition of the aromatic acid based polyester polyols used in the prior art moisture curable prepolymers. By raising the precursor polyol to dicarboxylic acid ratio, the polyester polyols produced have lower equivalent weights. This alone results in a polyurethane-urea of higher T.sub.g at a given alicyclic diisocyanate to polyester equivalent ratio. However, increases in the T.sub.g may also be obtained by replacing some or all of long chain flexible polyol precursors (e.g. triethylene glycol) with shorter and/or less flexible polyol precursors. The high T.sub.g improves stain resistance. The moisture cure of the present urethane composition can be carried out at ambient conditions, permitting its use as a seam coater or sealer as well as a wear layer.

An aqueous photopolymer composition is produced by adding a monomer to a latex of a partially neutralized carboxylated acrylic copolymer, having an acid number greater than 80, along with photoinitator and components to produce an aqueous coatable and alkali developable photoresist composition. Preferred neutralization is 30-50% for dip-coating and 40-60% for screen-printing to produce 1 mil lines and 1 mil space after ultraviolet exposure and mild alkali development.

Gloss retention and stain resistance are improved in a no-wax UV cured flooring wear surface by reacting a phthalate polyester polyol and a long chain hydroxy acrylate with an aromatic or cycloalkyl diisocyanate to form an oligomer which is employed as a major ingredient of the UV curable coating composition used to produce the wear surface.

The present invention relates to conformable tile products which may be formed from aggregate material and relatively low weight percentages of unsaturated polyester resin precursors. When cured, the tiles may be adhered to subfloors utilizing ordinary resilient flooring-type adhesives. Further, they will be conformable to subsurface irregularities, and will have high strength and impact resistance when installed as a flooring surface.

The present invention relates to gasketing materials comprising a rubber binder, a pulverized rice hull filler and a polyester which preferably is crystallizable. The rice hull material acts as a reinforcing filler and, in combination with the rubber and polyester, provides gasketing materials which demonstrate the ability to conform to flange irregularities. As a result, the gaskets demonstrate remarkable sealing capabilities. When they comprise nitrile rubbers, they are also resistant to fuel absorption.
