The present disclosure provides an oil-extended olefin block copolymer composition. The oil-extended olefin block copolymer composition includes an olefin block copolymer, an oil, and a surface-active agent and may optionally include an olefin-based polymer. The oil-extended olefin block copolymer composition advantageously exhibits reduced, or no, oil-bleed.

The present invention relates to nonwoven webs or fabrics. In particular, the present invention relates to nonwoven webs having superior abrasion resistance and excellent softness characteristics. The nonwoven materials comprise monocomponent fibers having a surface comprising a polyethylene, said nonwoven material having a fuzz/abrasion of less than 0.7 mg/cm. The present invention is also related to fibers having a diameter in a range of from 0.1 to 50 denier, said fibers comprising a polymer blend, wherein the polymer blend comprises: from 40 weight percent to 80 weight percent (by weight of the polymer blend) of a first polymer which is a homogeneous ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin interpolymer having: a melt index of from about 1 to about 1000 grams/10 minutes, and a density of from 0.870 to 0.950 grams/centimeter, and from 74 to 20 percent by weight of a second polymer which is an ethylene homopolymer or an ethylene/&#x3b1;-olefin interpolymer having a melt index of from about 1 to about 1000 grams/10 minutes, and preferably a density which is at least 0.01 grams/centimetergreater than the density of the first polymer.

Disclosed herein is a polymeric composition. This invention relates to polyolefin compositions. In one embodiment, the present invention provides a method of forming a cellulose article having a specific volume of less than 3 cc/gm. The method includes the step of incorporating cellulose fibers with a compound, wherein the compound includes an aqueous dispersion. The aqueous dispersion may have at least one polymer selected from the group consisting of an ethylene-based thermoplastic polymer, a propylene-based thermoplastic polymer, and mixtures thereof; at least one polymeric stabilizing agent; and water. In certain embodiments, a combined amount of the at least one polymer and the at least one stabilizing agent comprises about 25 to about 74 volume percent of the aqueous dispersion.

Cellulose articles containing an additive composition

Film layers made from formulated polymer compositions are disclosed. Film layers made from such formulated compositions have surprisingly good (for example, low) water vapor transmission rates and are particularly useful for packaging dry goods such as cereal. The polymer compositions preferably have at least one homogeneous ethylene homopolymer and at least one heterogeneously branched ethylene polymer. The homogeneous ethylene homopolymer has a molecular weight much higher than that of the heterogeneously branched ethylene polymer, although the density of each is preferably higher than about 0.95 g/cm.
