A system for cutting a given portion of a surface of a core insert includes a piezoelectric actuator, a turning tool, a rotating member, a driving unit and a numerically-controlled unit. The controlling unit stores coordinates of the storing coordinates of each point on the given portion of the surface in a predetermined coordinate system, and compares the instant coordinates of the cutting portion of the turning tool with the stored coordinates of the given portion, thus controlling the piezoelectric actuator to drive the turning tool to cut the given portion of the surface if the coordinates of the cutting portion of the turning tool match with the stored coordinates of any point on the given portion of the surface.

System and method for cutting surface of core insert

An optical system () for efficiently collimating an elliptical light beam includes a light source (), a first lens (), a second lens (), and a third lens (). The light source is adapted for providing an elliptical light beam defining different diverging angles in different directions, wherein any cross-section of the elliptical light beam emitted from the light source defines a long axis and a short axis which are perpendicular to each other. The first lens, the second lens, and the third lens are used for reconfiguring the elliptical light beam, thus obtaining a round light beam having equivalent short axis and long axis, and equivalent diverging angles in both horizontal direction and vertical direction. Optical centers of the first lens, the second lens, and the third lens commonly define a common optical axis along which the elliptical light beams travels.

Optical system for collimating elliptical light beam and optical device using the same

A solar cell assembly includes a first solar cell panel, a second solar cell panel, and at least one light guide assembly. The first solar cell panel has at least one first through hole defined therein. The second solar cell panel faces and is spaced from the first solar cell panel. The at least one light guide assembly comprises a light diverging lens engaged in the first through hole of the first solar cell panel, and a light guide body aligned with the light diverging lens and located between the first and second solar cell panels. The light diverging lens is configured for diverging sunlight incident thereupon and forming diverged light. The light guide body has an incident surface for receiving the diverged light, and emitting surfaces for emitting light to the second solar cell panel.

Solar cell assembly

An optical locating device () for identifying position includes a light emitter (), a reflector (), and a light receiver (). The light emitter is disposed on a moving member () for emitting light. The reflector is configured for reflecting the light. The light receiver has at least one linear image sensor () for receiving the light reflected by the reflector and thereby generating an image signal corresponding to the light, and a processor () connecting to the image sensor to process the image signal for identifying the position of the moving member.

Optical locating device

An exemplary molding apparatus includes a first and a second mold core, a mold core receiving member, at least three positioning members and pushing members. The first and second mold core respectively have a first and a second molding portion, the first and second molding portion are configured for cooperatively defining a mold cavity. The mold core receiving member defines a through hole for receiving the second molding portion, at least three spaced receptacles in an inner wall thereof, and at least three spaced receiving holes in communication with the respective at least three receptacles. The at least three positioning members are received in the at least three receptacles. The at least three pushing members are movably received lengthwise in the at least three receiving holes, and being configured for urging the at least three positioning members to move toward the second molding portion thus hold the second molding portion.
