A fluorescence intensity analyzing and fluorescence image synthesizing system and method are disclosed. The first fluorescence intensity detection device successively detects the plurality of first fluorescence intensities according to the first timing and the second fluorescence intensity detection device successively detects the plurality of second fluorescence intensities according to the second timing, and then the picture processing device analyzes the first and second timings and synthesizes the first and second fluorescence intensity ranges into the synthesized picture according to the fluorescence intensities, whereby the image processing technology may be used to calculate the fluorescence target range and thus mark the fluorescence target range.

The method of changing ultrasound wave frequency by using the acoustic matching layer presents a replaceable acoustic matching layer to offer an effective means of filtering the original broadband frequency of an ultrasonic transducer into certain composite discontinuous frequencies. The filtering effect could be improved by connecting the electrodes of the acoustic matching layer when it is made of a poled piezoelectric material. This method may provide novel applications for commercial ultrasonic transducers.

Method for changing ultrasound wave frequency by using the acoustic matching layer

The invention discloses a method and apparatus to control the shaping change of Shape-Memory-Alloy (SMA). The piece-wised current drain control device is designed to independently deliver current to stimulate sectional SMA but not the entire one. The invention is also successfully implemented on an automatic light sensitive aperture control device to simulate the light response of a pupil. The control technique can extend the application potential of SMA toward precise actuation, aeronautical applications, surgical tools, or biomedical applications such as artificial organ or muscles.

Precision method and apparatus for controlling the shape memory alloy

An artificial sphincter system having: (1) a hollow object, which has the ability of contraction and expansion; (2) a shape memory alloy (SMA), which is connected with the hollow object, changes its shape to imitate the motion of human muscle by applying different electric current; (3) an electric power to provide different amounts of electric current to the shape memory alloy and let it contract or expand to control the motion of the hollow object to imitate the motion of human muscle; and (4) a photo resistor added between the electric power and the shape memory alloy, which senses the brightness of surrounding light and controls A/D (analog-to-digital) values of the electric power to cause different conditions of contraction and expansion of each part of the shape memory alloy.

Artificial sphincter system

A non-invasive positioning system for determining the focus location of a HIFU device comprises a diagnostic ultrasound and the HIFU for ablating and removing tumor tissue. The imaging plane of the diagnostic ultrasound probe and the geometrical axis of a probe of the HIFU define an inclining angle during operation. When the imaging plane of the diagnostic ultrasound intersected to the focus of the HIFU transducer, a maximal convergent interference signals was obtained, so as to position the HIFU focus within tumors for precise ablation.
