A polymer solar cell includes a photoactive layer, a cathode electrode, and an anode electrode. The photoactive layer includes a polymer layer and a carbon nanotube layer. The polymer layer includes a first polymer surface and a second polymer surface opposite to the first polymer surface. A portion of the carbon nanotube layer is embedded in the polymer layer, and another portion of the carbon nanotube layer is exposed from the polymer layer. The cathode electrode is located a surface of the carbon nanotube layer away from the polymer layer. The anode electrode is located on the first polymer surface and spaced apart from the carbon nanotube layer. The entire second polymer surface is exposed.

An organic light emitting diode includes a support body, an anode electrode, a hole transport layer, an organic light emitting layer and an electron transport layer stacked on each other in that order. The electron transport layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The electron transport layer includes a polymer and a plurality of first carbon nanotubes dispersed in the polymer, and partial surface of the plurality of first carbon nanotubes is exposed from the first surface and is in direct contact with the organic light emitting layer.

A method for making a polymer solar cell includes placing a carbon nanotube array into a polymer solution. The carbon nanotube array includes a plurality of carbon nanotubes. Each carbon nanotube includes a first end and a second end opposite to the first end. The polymer solution is cured to form a polymer layer including a first polymer surface and a second polymer surface opposite to the first polymer surface. The first end is exposed from the polymer layer, and the second end is embedded in the polymer layer. An insulating layer is formed on the first polymer surface. A cathode electrode is formed on a surface of the insulating layer away from the polymer layer, and the first end passes through the insulating layer and is in direct contact with the cathode electrode. An anode electrode is formed on the second polymer surface.

Method for making polymer solar cell

A method for making a carbon nanotube composite structure is related. A substrate having a first surface is provided. A carbon nanotube structure including a plurality of carbon nanotubes is placed on the first surface, wherein the plurality of carbon nanotubes is in direct contact with the first surface. A monomer solution is coated to the carbon nanotube structure, wherein the monomer solution is formed by dispersing a monomer into an organic solvent. The monomer is polymerized, and then the substrate is removed.

Method for making carbon nanotube composite structure

A polymer solar cell includes an anode electrode, a photoactive layer, an insulating layer, a cathode electrode stacked on each other in that order. The photoactive layer includes a polymer layer and a plurality of carbon nanotubes dispersed in the polymer layer. Each of the plurality of carbon nanotubes includes a first end and a second end opposite to the first end, the first end passes through the insulating layer and is in direct contact with the cathode electrode, and the second end is embedded in the polymer layer.

A method for making a polymer solar cell includes the following steps: placing a portion of a carbon nanotube layer into a polymer solution, wherein the carbon nanotube layer includes a plurality of carbon nanotubes; curing the polymer solution to form a polymer layer including a first polymer surface and a second polymer surface opposite to the first polymer surface, wherein the portion of the carbon nanotube layer is embedded in the polymer layer, and another portion of the carbon nanotube layer is exposed from the polymer layer; and forming a cathode electrode on a surface of the carbon nanotube layer away from the polymer layer, and forming an anode electrode on the first polymer surface, wherein the anode electrode is spaced apart from the carbon nanotube layer.

A method for making a carbon nanotube composite structure includes providing a polymer substrate having a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. A first carbon nanotube layer including a plurality of carbon nanotubes is placed on the first surface to form a preformed structure, wherein the carbon nanotube layer and the polymer substrate are stacked with each other. The preformed structure is scanned with a laser according to a predetermined pattern. The treated preformed structure includes a first part and a second part. The first part is scanned by the laser, and the second part is not scanned by the laser. The first part includes a plurality of first carbon nanotubes, and the second part includes a plurality of second carbon nanotubes. The plurality of second carbon nanotubes is removed.

A method for making a polymer solar cell includes placing a carbon nanotube array into a polymer solution. The carbon nanotube array includes a plurality of carbon nanotubes. The polymer solution is cured to form a polymer layer. The polymer layer includes a first polymer surface and a second polymer surface opposite to the first polymer surface. Each of the plurality of carbon nanotubes includes a first carbon nanotube portion and a second carbon nanotube portion, the first carbon nanotube portion is embedded in the polymer layer, and the second carbon nanotube portion is exposed from the polymer layer. The second carbon nanotube portion is tilted on the first polymer surface to form a carbon nanotube layer. A cathode electrode is formed on a surface of the carbon nanotube layer away from the polymer layer. An anode electrode is formed on the second polymer surface.

A method for making an organic light emitting diode includes providing a preform structure including an anode electrode, a hole transport layer, and an organic light emitting layer stacked on each other in that order. A carbon nanotube composite structure including a polymer and a plurality of first carbon nanotubes dispersed in the polymer is also provided. The plurality of first carbon nanotubes is substantially parallel to each other, and a part of surface of the plurality of first carbon nanotubes is exposed from the polymer. The preform structure, the carbon nanotube composite structure and a cathode electrode are stacked on each other in that order.

A method for making an organic light emitting diode includes providing a preform structure including an anode electrode, a hole transport layer, and an organic light emitting layer stacked on each other in that order. The organic light emitting layer has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and the second surface is in direct contact with the hole transport layer. A carbon nanotube structure is located on the first surface. A monomer solution is disposed on the carbon nanotube structure, and the monomer solution is formed by dispersing a monomer into an organic solvent. The monomer is polymerized to form a polymer, and a cathode electrode is formed on the polymer.
