Embodiments of the present invention provide an approach for compressing data, and more particularly, to large-scale text data encoding and compression using absolute overfitting on pre-trained language models. Large-scale data is parsed into sentences. A unique token is generated for each sentence to form a token list. A generative (or compression) model is trained from the tokens in the token list to produce the corresponding sentence of each token through absolute overfitting of a pre-trained language model. The compressed text data is stored as the token list and generative model, resulting in a storage space savings.

Large-scale text data encoding and compression

From a set of point data, a set of scattered rays is constructed. From the set of scattered rays, a set of ray slopes is computed. The set of ray slopes is mapped to a corresponding set of trigonometric functions. Using an optimization method, a parameter of the set of trigonometric functions is selected. Using an inverse of the set trigonometric functions, a vehicle mass corresponding to the set of point data is computed. Based on the vehicle mass, a threshold braking distance of a collision avoidance system of the vehicle is adjusted, the threshold braking distance comprising a distance from an object predicted to collide with the vehicle. By braking the vehicle at least the threshold braking distance from the object, a predicted collision between the vehicle and the object is avoided.

Embodiments relate to dynamic horizontal autoscaling for a multi-tenant service. According to an aspect, a computer-implemented method includes configuring a network computing element to route a plurality of requests from two or more clients to a service in a containerized-networked system. A horizontal service-level autoscaler monitors one or more aspects of the requests to the service from the two or more clients. A new pod including a set of running containers with shared resources in the containerized-networked system is created based at least in part on the horizontal service-level autoscaler determining that at least one of the one or more aspects of the requests exceeds a threshold. A new service mapping is created to accept subsequent requests from one of the two or more clients that triggered creation of the new pod.

Dynamic horizontal autoscaling for multi-tenant service

A multi-functional reconfigurable intelligence surface (MF-RIS) integrating signal reflection, refraction and amplification and energy harvesting and an application thereof are provided. The MF-RIS can support wireless signal reflection, refraction and amplification and energy harvesting on one surface, to amplify, reflect, or refract a signal through harvested energy, and further enhance effective coverage of wireless signals. When a signal model of the MF-RIS constructed in the present disclosure is applied to a multi-user wireless network, a non-convex optimization problem of jointly designing operation modes and parameters that include BS transmit beamforming, and different components and a deployment position of the MF-RIS is constructed with an objective of maximizing a sum rate (SR) of a plurality of users in an MF-RIS-assisted non-orthogonal multiple access network. Then, an iterative optimization algorithm is designed to effectively solve the non-convex optimization problem, to maximize the SR of the plurality of users.

The invention relates to an optimal allocation method for stored energy coordinating electric vehicles (EVs) to participate in auxiliary service market (ASM), including the following steps: 1. Predict the reported capacity of daily 96 points for EVs to participate in the ASM by least square support vector machine (LSSVM). 2. Fit the daily total load distribution of EVs. 3. Determine the error distribution between the reported capacity and the actual response capacity, and simulate the total daily load capacity of EVs in the future with Monte Carlo method. 4. Calculate the energy storage capacity required by EVs daily participating in ASM. 5. Build the objective function to minimize the scheduling risk of auxiliary service. 6. Solve the energy storage model in step 5 with particle swarm optimization (PSO), and output the configuration results of optimal energy storage capacity and energy storage power. The invention can improve the adjustable capacity of EVs participating in ASM.

The method includes retrieving from sensors, measurement attributes associated with geological conditions occurring during a mining process. Subsequently, threshold levels configured to activate an alarm associated with measurement attributes exceeding the threshold levels are determined and code is executed with respect to the threshold levels. A combined threshold severity level associated with the safety threshold levels is determined and code is executed with respect to the safety threshold levels. A combined clustering level associated with the safety threshold levels is determined and a difference value between the combined threshold severity level and combined clustering level is generated. A relationship between the difference value and a threshold value is determined and automated software and hardware control systems are enabled for controlling machinery associated with the mining process resulting in operation of the machinery.
