Disclosed herein are devices and methods to reduce unwanted CIM3 emission in a wireless communication device, such that the transmit (TX) power level applied in a RU can be increased without exceeding a regulatory emission requirement. In some aspects, unwanted emission may be reduced by shifting or changing local oscillator (LO) frequencies during TX operation. Some embodiments are directed to a fast-locking PLL with adjustable bandwidth that can be controlled to increase the PLL bandwidth during the RX to TX transition to provide a fast locking to a new LO frequency. Some aspects are directed to configuring an LO frequency shift amount for different RUs when multiple RUs are allocated within a frequency band.

Apparatus and methods for improved transmit power

A wireless communications method includes: obtaining a plurality of stream inputs, wherein the stream inputs include a first stream input complying with a first packet format and a second stream input complying with a second packet format, and the second packet format is different from the first packet format; applying pre-coding to the stream inputs to generate a plurality of pre-coded stream outputs, respectively; and performing wireless transmission upon the pre-coded stream outputs, wherein downlink Multi-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MU-MIMO) transmission is involved in the wireless transmission of the pre-coded stream outputs.

A data unit processing method performed by a first communication device, comprising: configuring a data unit by the first communication device, the data unit comprising: a specific format preamble following a first packet format; and a symbol part, comprising at least one symbol and following a Wi-Fi long range packet format. The specific format preamble can be decoded according to a first communication standard and the symbol can be decoded according to a Wi-Fi long range mode. The symbol part can be identified according to the specific format preamble. A method can decode the above-mentioned data unit and a communication device can perform the methods are also disclosed.
