An improved connector of a card reader, the card reader includes a circuit board in a housing as its principal unit; the circuit board has a USB connecting port to make circuit connection with a set of electric equipment, and is provided at least with one aforesaid connector for insertion of a memory card. Wherein: the main body of the connector is integrally made by injection molding purely of plastic, and a grounding electric circuit of the connector is connected to a metallic housing of a USB connecting port to form circuit continuation of the metallic housing of the USB connecting port and the electric equipment, and to effectively prevent static-electricity damage. Because the main body of the connector is made by injection molding purely of plastic, this can largely lower the cost of production of the connector.

The 7-in-1 card reader has an electric connecting circuit in its cartridge coincident with an insertion slot of a PCMCIA interface; the cartridge is provided on the front side thereof with a first connecter for connecting an electric device having the PCMCIA interface, and on the rear end thereof with a first connecter module and a second connecter module for insertion of memory cards taken among those of seven specifications or those of CE, MD, MMC, MS, SD, SM and XD memory cards, and for proceeding to data reading, exchanging and transferring with the memory card through the electric connecting circuit, so that the electric device with the PCMCIA interface can read and write on the memory cards of the seven specifications.

The built-in multifunctional card reader is comprised of a circuit board in a housing as a principal unit; the circuit board is provided with a control circuit formed by connecting among a loop of an externally connecting device, a loop for an integrated circuit and a memory card loop. Wherein the card reader makes separation of the operation voltage of various memory cards in the card reader from the loop of the externally connecting device to maintain the normal operation of the card reader as well as to get an effect of EMI prevention by providing a circuit connector on a circuit board in connecting with a power supplying device to directly make the circuit board supply power for operation of the card reader, and by providing a main signal connector on the circuit board to form connection among the integrated circuit, the memory card loop and the main board, further by providing an auxiliary signal connector in the loop of the externally connecting device to form connection between the externally connecting device and the main board.

Built-in multifunctional card reader

The card reader includes a circuit board in a housing as a principal unit, the circuit board is provided with a circuit connector to connect with a main circuit of an electric equipment. The circuit board is provided on the front surface thereof at least with an insertion slot for insertion of a memory card; and an integrated circuit is connected between the insertion slot and the circuit connector to control the operation of the entire card reader, and further to form the connection between the memory card and the main circuit. The structure is characterized by that, the structure is provided in the section between the integrated circuit and the housing with a plurality of electrically conductive areas formed of electrically conductive material; the electrically conductive areas are connected with the grounding line of the circuit board to form a function of grounding to scatter electric waves, so that the integrated circuit can avoid damaging and destroying by piercing of external electric waves.

Grounding structure for a card reader

The 5-in-1 connector of the present invention has a cartridge with three insertion slots which each is provided fixedly with a contact pin set correspondingly connecting with circuit contact points of one of various memory cards, thereby an electric device can be inserted therein with at least three memory cards of different specifications; the first of the three insertion slots can afford insertion of one of CF and MD memory cards, the second insertion slot can afford insertion of one of SD and MMC memory cards, the third insertion slot can afford insertion of an MS memory card, hence the electric device at least can proceed to reading and writing on five memory cards of different specifications.

5-in-1 connector

Of the line concentrator with a storage function, an insertion end to be connected to a connecting port and a housing provided with a plurality of connecting ports compose its main body. The housing has therein a serially connected line concentrating circuit and a flash memory storage circuit being integrated therein. A line concentrating and distributing control loop in the serially connected line concentrating circuit is connected with a serial connecting-line interface in the flash memory storage circuit to form integration of the serially connected line concentrating circuit with the flash memory storage circuit. So that the entire line concentrator can afford expanding and connecting of other peripheral implements by taking advantage of the provision of the connecting ports, and can form a personal disk for storing data by taking advantage of the memories in the flash memory storage circuit.
