A non-contact apparatus for a stability assessment of a dental implant is provided. The non-contact apparatus includes a triggering device and a dental implant containing a root body and an impact generating device, wherein the root body has a cavity, the impact generating device is located in the cavity, and the triggering device provides a non-contact impetus for triggering the impact generating device.

A method for cutting a nonmetal material is provided. The method includes steps of (a) generating a tension stress on a surface of the nonmetal material by exerting a bending stress thereon; (b) providing a thermal effect along a path direction on the surface, wherein the thermal effect grows along a direction opposite to the path direction; (c) providing a first cryogenic effect in a first incident direction along the path direction; and (d) providing a second cryogenic effect in a second incident direction along the path direction, wherein a crack along the path direction on the surface is formed as a result of the tension stress, the thermal effect, and the cryogenic effects therealong for cutting the nonmetal material.

A lens inspection device and method are provided. The lens inspection method includes the steps of providing a collimating light beam, polarizing the collimating light beam by a polarizer to produce a polarized light beam, deflecting the polarized light beam by a lens to be measured to produce a deflected light beam, providing a phase retardation plate through which a polarized compensation image is generated, and comparing the polarized compensation image with a lookup table having standard color values of a plurality of standard polarization compensated images recorded therein, so as to determine whether a deformation is presented on the lens.
