Semiconductor structures and method of forming the same are provided. A semiconductor structure according to the present disclosure includes a contact feature in a dielectric layer, a passivation structure over the dielectric layer, a conductive feature over the passivation structure, a seed layer disposed between the conductive feature and the passivation structure, a protecting layer disposed along sidewalls of the conductive feature, and a passivation layer over the conductive feature and the protecting layer.

Redistribution layer features

Provided is a display apparatus including a circuit substrate, a light-emitting layer, a polarizing layer, a quarter waveplate, and a bandpass polarizing reflective layer. The light-emitting layer includes a plurality of first light-emitting structures. The first light-emitting structures have a first peak emission wavelength. The polarizing layer is located on a side of the light-emitting layer away from the circuit substrate. The quarter waveplate is disposed between the polarizing layer and the light-emitting layer and overlaps the light-emitting layer and the polarizing layer. The bandpass polarizing reflective layer is disposed between the quarter waveplate and the light-emitting layer and includes a first bandpass polarizing reflective pattern overlapping the first light-emitting structures. A reflectance of the bandpass polarizing reflective pattern for light with a wavelength in a first wavelength range is greater than 20%. The first wavelength range is the peak emission wavelength ±10 nm.

Display apparatus

The disclosure provides a viewing angle control module including a first liquid crystal panel, a first polarizer, a second polarizer, and a phase retarder. The first liquid crystal panel includes a first substrate, a second substrate, a first alignment layer, a second alignment layer, a first liquid crystal layer, a first electrode layer, and a second electrode layer. A second alignment direction of the second alignment layer is antiparallel to a first alignment direction of the first alignment layer. The first electrode layer has multiple electrode patterns arranged at intervals along a first direction and extending along a second direction. A first absorption axis of the first polarizer is perpendicular to a second absorption axis of the second polarizer. An included angle between the first absorption axis and the first alignment direction is 45 degrees. A display apparatus including the viewing angle control module is also provided.

Viewing angle control module and display apparatus

A display device, including a circuit substrate, a light-emitting layer, a quarter-wave plate, and a band-pass polarizing layer, is provided. The light-emitting layer is disposed on the circuit substrate and has light-emitting structures, which are electrically connected to the circuit substrate and include first light-emitting structures, which have a first main light-emitting wavelength. The quarter-wave plate is disposed in overlap with the light-emitting structures and is located between the band-pass polarizing layer and the light-emitting layer. The band-pass polarizing layer includes at least one first band-pass polarizing pattern, which have a first absorption axis. The first wavelength range is the first main light-emitting wavelength±10 nm. An average transmittance of the first band-pass polarizing patterns to light with a wavelength outside the first wavelength range and a polarization direction parallel to the first absorption axis is less than 20%.

Display device

An optical structure film and a light source module are provided. The optical structure film includes multiple optical unit microstructures. Each of the optical unit microstructures has four side surfaces and an inwardly concave beam splitting surface. The beam splitting surface is respectively connected to the side surfaces, and the beam splitting surface has four endpoints when viewed from a front viewing angle. Connection lines of the four endpoints form a rectangle. The beam splitting surface includes at least one beam splitting curved surface. A junction of the at least one beam splitting curved surface and one of the four side surfaces is a first line segment. A projection of a midpoint of an edge of the rectangle on the beam splitting surface overlaps with a relative extreme point of the first line segment.

Optical structure film and light source module

A viewing angle control device including a plurality of first polarizing portions and a plurality of transmissive portions is provided. The first polarizing portions are arranged along a first direction and extended in a second direction. The transmissive portions and the first polarizing portions are alternately arranged. Each of the first polarizing portions has a width in the first direction and a height in a direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction. A ratio of the height to the width of the first polarizing portion is greater than 1. A display apparatus adopting the viewing angle control device is also provided. The viewing angle control device and the display apparatus provided herein have a filter effect at a large viewing angle, improved light transmittance in the viewing angle direction, and excellent anti-peeping performance.

Viewing angle control device and display apparatus

A display apparatus is provided, including at least one viewing angle limiting device, a display panel, and a light polarization converter disposed between the at least one viewing angle limiting device and the display panel. The light polarization converter includes first regions and second regions alternately arranged. Light beams passing through the first regions and the second regions respectively have a first light polarization direction and a second light polarization direction. The light polarization converter is overlapped with the at least one viewing angle limiting device and the display panel. The viewing angle limiting device includes light-absorbing molecules. The light-absorbing molecules have a first absorption coefficient in a thickness direction of the viewing angle limiting device and a second absorption coefficient in a direction perpendicular to the thickness direction. A ratio of the first absorption coefficient to the second absorption coefficient is greater than 1.

A backlight module including a circuit substrate, a plurality of light-emitting devices, a first cholesteric liquid-crystal layer, and a second cholesteric liquid-crystal layer is provided. The light-emitting devices are disposed on the circuit substrate and electrically connected to the circuit substrate. The first cholesteric liquid-crystal layer is disposed on the light-emitting devices and overlapped with a light-emitting surface of each of the light-emitting devices. The second cholesteric liquid-crystal layer is disposed on the first cholesteric liquid-crystal layer and overlapped with the first cholesteric liquid-crystal layer. The first cholesteric liquid-crystal layer and the second cholesteric liquid-crystal layer respectively have a first chiral direction and a second chiral direction. A display apparatus adopting the backlight module is also provided.

Backlight module and display apparatus

A light source module includes at least one light-emitting element, a first optical layer, a penetrating light selection layer, a second optical layer, a light splitting layer, and a wavelength conversion layer. The light-emitting element is configured to provide a beam with a wavelength falling within a first wavelength band. An exit angle at which the beam exits the first optical layer is greater than an incident angle at which the beam is incident to the first optical layer. The penetrating light selection layer may allow light with a wavelength falls within a second wavelength band to pass through and has corresponding transmittance for light with a wavelength falling within the first wavelength band and is incident at different incident angles. An exit angle at which the beam exits the second optical layer is less than an incident angle at which the beam is incident to the second optical layer.

Light source module including penetrating light selection layer

A display device includes a view angle switching module and a display module. The view angle switching module includes a first polarizer and a view angle adjustment layer. The display module and the view angle switching module are overlapped. The display module includes a display layer and a second polarizer. The view angle adjustment layer is located between the first polarizer and the second polarizer. An average degree of polarization of the first polarizer for light with a wavelength falling within a first wavelength band is less than an average degree of polarization of the second polarizer for the light with the wavelength falling within the first wavelength band. The display device may provide a privacy function and images with good image quality.

A display device, including a first polarizing film, a pixel array module, a second polarizing film, and a first electronically controlled phase retardation module, is provided. The pixel array module is disposed in overlap with the first polarizing film. The second polarizing film is disposed in overlap with the pixel array module. The first electronically controlled phase retardation module includes a first liquid crystal layer, two first alignment layers, and two first conductive layers. The first liquid crystal layer and the first alignment layers are disposed between the first conductive layers. The second polarizing film is located between the pixel array module and the first electronically controlled phase retardation module. One of the first polarizing film and the second polarizing film directly contacts one of the first conductive layers of the first electronically controlled phase retardation module. The display device has a switchable viewing angle and is thinner and lighter.

A viewing angle limiting device, including a polymer substrate and a plurality of dye molecules, is provided. The dye molecules are dispersedly arranged in the polymer substrate. The dye molecules have a first absorption coefficient in a thickness direction of the polymer substrate. The dye molecules have a second absorption coefficient in a direction perpendicular to the thickness direction. A ratio of the first absorption coefficient to the second absorption coefficient is between 10 and 1000. A manufacturing method of the viewing angle limiting device and a display device including the viewing angle limiting device are also provided. The display device, the viewing angle limiting device, and the manufacturing method thereof provided by the invention have a large viewing angle filtering effect and have higher light transmittance in a viewing angle direction.

Display device, viewing angle limiting device and manufacturing method thereof

A viewing angle switchable display apparatus including a display panel, an electrically controlled viewing angle switching device, an electrically controlled light scattering switching device, and a backlight module is provided. The electrically controlled viewing angle switching device includes two first transparent substrates, two first transparent conductive layers, a liquid crystal layer, and a first polarizer located on a side of the electrically controlled viewing angle switching device which is far away from the display panel. The liquid crystal layer includes liquid crystal molecules, and optical axes of the liquid crystal molecules are parallel or perpendicular to a transmission axis of the first polarizer. The electrically controlled light scattering switching device is located between the display panel and the backlight module and includes two second transparent substrates, two second transparent conductive layers, and an electronically controlled polymer material layer.

Viewing angle switchable display apparatus

A light source module includes an optical plate, a light source and a dimming liquid crystal panel. The dimming liquid crystal panel includes a first driving substrate, a second driving substrate and a liquid crystal material layer. The first driving substrate includes a first substrate and a common electrode. The second driving substrate includes a second substrate, independent electrodes, first signal pads, first wires, dummy wires and a transparent insulation layer. The first wires and dummy wires are disposed on the second substrate and covered by the transparent insulation layer, the first wires are exposed from the transparent insulation layer, the independent electrodes are insulated from each other, disposed on the transparent insulation layer and overlap the first wires and the dummy wires, and each independent electrode is electrically connected to one first signal pad via one first wire. A display device having the light source module is also provided.
