An illumination apparatus is provided. The apparatus includes a power supply unit, a switch unit, a bulb, a wireless unit, and a control unit. The power supply unit is for supplying power. The switch unit is for opening or closing a circuit between the power source unit and the bulb. The wireless unit is for receiving wireless signals from an external control device, and generating a first control signal when receiving the wireless signals. The control unit is for generating a close signal according to the first control signal. The switch unit closes the circuit between the power source unit and the bulb according to the close signal to enable the bulb to keep emitting light; and opens the circuit between the power source unit and the bulb if no receiving the close signal, thereby keeping the bulb extinguishing. A related control device for controlling the apparatus is also provided.

Illumination apparatus and control device for controlling the illumination apparatus

A dual frequency antenna includes a first scythe-shaped arm and a second scythe-shaped arm. The first scythe-shaped arm is configured for operating in a first band. The second scythe-shaped arm is configured for operating in a second band and includes an inverted-T-shaped strip with a foot of the inverted-T-shaped strip connected to the second scythe-shaped arm. The first scythe-shaped arm is attached to the second scythe-shaped arm at an apex. A head of the inverted-T-shaped strip is closer to the apex than the foot. A communication system is also provided.

Dual frequency antenna and communication system

A multiband antenna includes a conductive sheet, a feeding point, and a grounding point. The conductive sheet defines a first slot, a second slot, a third slot, a fourth slot, a fifth slot, a sixth slot, and a seventh slot thereon. The second slot and the third slot extend from a same short side of the first slot and are parallel to each other. The fourth slot, the fifth slot, the sixth slot, and the seventh slot extend perpendicularly from a short side of the third slot away from the first slot in sequence. The feeding point is formed on the conductive sheet at a long side of the first slot away from the third slot. The grounding point is formed on the conductive sheet at a margin of the slots different from the location of the feeding point.

Multiband antenna

An antenna includes a ground plane, a match portion, and a radiation portion. The ground plane is used for grounding. The match portion is parallel to the ground plane, and is connected to the ground plane. The radiation portion is connected to one end of the match portion, and extends upwardly with respect to the ground plane. The radiation portion can be a spiral element or a meandrous element. The radiation portion can also include a main body extending upwardly with respect to the ground plane, and a plurality of branches extending parallelly along a same direction from the main body.

Antenna

A conduct () includes a retention portion (), a contacting portion () extending upwardly from the retention portion (), a tail portion () formed on a distal end of the retention portion. The tail portion () has a relatively larger bottom surface vertical to the major surface of the base defining a multilateral-shaped recess () adapted to engage a solder member, e.g. solder ball, thereby establishing electrical engagement between the contact and the PCB.

Electrical contact background of the invention

A land grid array connector () for electrically connecting a CPU package () to a printed circuit board includes a housing () and a number of contacts received in passageways () of the housing. The housing has a bottom wall () and sidewalls (). The bottom wall and the sidewalls cooperatively define a receiving space () for accommodating the package therein. Protrusion member () is formed on the sidewalls and extends inwardly into the receiving space. A through hole () below the protrusion member is defined in the bottom wall for facilitating molding the protrusion member. The protrusion member is configured with a vertical abutting surface () formed at a lateral end toward the receiving space thereof. The bottom wall forms a mounting surface () for sustaining the CPU chip thereon. A vertical shortest distance is formed between a lowest end of the abutting surface of the protrusion member and the mounting surface of the bottom wall. This configuration can protect the sidewalls of the housing from being scraped during insertion of the package into the housing. Reliable electrical connection between the package and contacts of the land grid array connector is secured.
