A modularized control circuit of a fan motor is used to provide a phase-sensing control to the fan motor. The modularized control circuit includes a driving circuit and a microcontroller IC. The driving circuit is electrically connected to the fan motor to produce a plurality of analog driving voltage signals to drive the fan motor. The microcontroller IC is connected to the driving circuit and includes a phase-sensing module, a control unit, and a driving signal generator. The phase-sensing module receives the analog driving voltage signals to sense phases thereof and to produce a phase trigger signal. The control unit is connected to the phase-sensing module and receives a speed signal and the phase trigger signal to produce a control signal. The driving signal generator is connected to the control unit and receives the control signal to produce at least one switch driving signal to control the driving circuit.

Modularized control circuit of fan motor and method of operating the same

A modularized control circuit with a signal-capturing function for a fan motor is disclosed. The modularized control circuit includes a driven circuit and a microcontroller integrated circuit. The driven circuit is electrically connected to the fan motor to produce at least one analog driven voltage signal, thus driving the fan motor. The microcontroller integrated circuit is electrically connected to the driven circuit and includes a signal-capturing module, a control unit, and a driven signal generator. The signal-capturing module receives an external pulse signal to produce a cycle-capturing signal. The control unit is connected to the signal-capturing module and receives the cycle-capturing signal to produce a control signal. The driven signal generator is connected to the control unit to receive the control signal, thus producing a plurality of switch driven signals for controlling the driven circuit.

Modularized control circuit with signal-capturing function for fan motor and controlling method

A fan control system. The fan control system has a programmable microcontroller to receive an input signal and a rotation speed signal corresponding to the actual rotation speed of the fan motor, determining an output signal according to the input signal and the rotation speed signal, and outputting the output signal; and a fan-driving unit to receive the output signal and adjusting the rotation speed for driving the fan motor according to the output signal. The rotation speed is in a relation of a multi-stage function to the input signal.

Fan control system using a microcontroller

A motor control apparatus includes a phase sensing circuit, a current sensing circuit, a controller and a driving circuit. The driving circuit receives a first driving signal and then controls a phase switching state of the magnetic pole of the motor so as to drive the motor in accordance with the first driving signal. The phase sensing circuit detects the phase switching state of the magnetic pole to generate and output a phase switching signal to the controller during the motor is operating. The current sensing circuit detects a current flowing through the motor to generate and output a current phase signal to the controller. The controller compares a phase difference between the phase switching signal and the current phase signal to generate and output a second driving signal to the driving circuit. The driving circuit controls the phase switching state of the magnetic pole for driving the motor in accordance with the second driving signal.

Motor control apparatus and method thereof

A motor control apparatus includes a phase sensing circuit, current sensing circuit, phase lock loop, controller and driving circuit. The phase sensing circuit detects a phase switching state of a magnetic pole of a motor circuit, then generates and outputs a phase switching signal to the phase lock loop during motor operation. The current sensing circuit detects current flowing through a coil of the motor to generate and output a current phase signal to the phase lock loop. The phase lock loop compares a phase difference between the phase switching signal and the current phase signal to generate and output a phase-switch controlling signal to the controller. The controller generates and outputs a driving signal to the driving circuit in accordance with the phase-switch controlling signal. The driving circuit controls the phase switching state of the magnetic pole to drive the motor in accordance with the driving signal.

Motor control apparatus

A motor control apparatus includes a sensing module, a phase modulating module, a duty cycle modulating module and a driving module. The sensing module detects a motor to generate a sensing signal. The phase modulating module receives the sensing signal and generates a phase modulation signal in accordance with the sensing signal. The duty cycle modulating module receives the phase modulation signal and generates a duty cycle modulation signal in accordance with the phase modulation signal. The driving module receives the duty cycle modulation signal and generates a motor control signal for controlling the motor in accordance with the duty cycle modulation signal.

Motor control apparatus and control method thereof

A heat dissipation system includes at least one fan, at least two controllers, a signal generator, and a signal converter. The controllers are electrically connected to the fan and generate an enable signal according to a feedback signal of the fan. The signal generator is electrically connected to the controllers and generates a control signal according to the enable signal. The signal converter is electrically connected to the signal generator and the fan, converts the control signal to a drive signal to the fan, thereby controlling rotation speed of the fan.

Heat dissipation system

A current control device for a fan motor includes a current sampling module, a signal generating module, a current detecting module and a current controlling module. The current sampling module samples an operating current of the fan motor to generate a sampled current signal. The operating current is controlled according to a driving signal. The signal generating module generates a threshold current signal. The current detecting module receives the sampled current signal and the threshold current signal and generates a motor protecting signal according to the sampled current signal and the threshold current signal. The current controlling module receives the motor protecting signal and stops generating or decreases the driving signal according to the motor protecting signal.

Current control device and method

A motor control method and device. The motor control device includes a programmable integrated circuit (IC) receiving a phase signal, the phase of which is consistent with the rotation phase of a coil of the motor. The programmable IC generates a duty-cycle signal in accordance with the period of the phase signal. The duty-cycle signal comprises a rising segment and a falling segment and when the phase signal changes phase, the duty cycle represented by the duty-cycle signal is a first duty cycle, allowing the input power of the motor remain at a minimum. The duty-cycle signal is input to the coil, controlling the coil on and off and, thereby rotating the motor.

Motor control method and device thereof

Fan module and control device thereof. The fan module comprises a plurality of fans and the control device. The control device comprises a temperature sensing circuit, and a driving circuit. The temperature sensing circuit detects an ambient temperature of the fans and generates a sensing signal accordingly. The driving circuit is coupled between the fans and temperature sensing circuit, and comprises a fully powered operating mode and a power-saving operating mode, wherein the driving circuit selects different operating modes in accordance with the sensing signal, and generates a fan driving signal controlling the speed of the fans.
