A standard receptacle connector has an insulating housing, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals, a plug detecting terminal and a shell. The first and second terminals and the plug detecting terminal are mounted on the insulating housing. The shell covers the insulating housing and all of the terminals. The plug detecting terminal is capable of being connected to a controlling circuit incorporated in a PCB on which the standard receptacle connector is mounted and selectively activates the controlling circuit to provide power to an external plug connector that is inserted in and connected to the standard receptacle connector.

A high frequency receptacle connector has an insulating housing, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals, a shell and a plug detecting assembly. The first and second terminals are mounted on the insulating housing and capable of implementing USB3.0 protocol. The shell covers the insulating housing and terminals. The plug detecting assembly has a first detecting terminal and a second detecting terminal. The first detecting terminal is mounted on the insulating housing. The second detecting terminal is mounted on the insulating housing and selectively bends to contact or isolate from the first detecting terminal. The high frequency receptacle connector is capable of providing electric power under a power-saving mode of a PCB on which the high frequency receptacle connector is mounted.

A high frequency socket connector has an insulating housing, a mounting bracket, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals and a shell. The first and second terminals are mounted in the insulating housing, are capable of implementing USB 3.0 protocol. The shell covers the insulating housing and terminals. Each of the terminals has a SMT soldering section adapted to SMT soldering processes. All the SMT soldering sections are arranged in a transverse row to make the socket connector compact.

High frequency socket connector

A receptacle connector for a cable has an insulating housing, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals and a shell. The first terminals are mounted on the insulating housing and each first terminal has a first soldering cup formed on the first terminal and extending backward out of the insulating housing. The second terminals are mounted on the insulating housing, are capable of cooperating with the first terminals to implement USB 3.0 protocol and each second terminal has a second soldering cup formed on the second terminal and extending backward out of the rear end of the insulating housing. The shell covers the insulating housing, the first terminals and the second terminals. The receptacle connector may be mounted one end of the cable so that cable is used for high speed data transmission between different electronic devices.

A dual socket connector has an insulative housing assembly, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals, multiple third terminals and a shell. The insulative housing assembly has a top tongue, a bottom tongue and a partition formed between the top and bottom tongues. The first terminals are mounted on one of the top and bottom tongues for USB 2.0 signal transmission. The second and third terminals are mounted on the other tongue for USB 3.0 signal transmission. The shell covers the insulative housing assembly and defines upper and lower socket holes with the partition for engaging different plug connectors. The dual socket connector is compact and has high compatibility.

A crosstalk-proof plug connector has an insulating housing, a mounting bracket, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals and a shell. The first terminals are mounted on the insulating housing. The second terminals are mounted on the mounting bracket. Each terminal has a mounting section, a soldering section and a contacting section. The soldering sections are arranged in a transverse row with a specific sequence to prevent crosstalk interfering with signal transmission.

A high-speed plug connector has an insulating housing, a mounting bracket, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals and a shell. The first terminals are mounted on the insulating housing. The second terminals are mounted on the mounting bracket. Each terminal has a mounting section, a soldering section and a contacting section. The soldering sections are arranged in a transverse row instead of two rows to make the high-speed plug connector compact and reduce mounting surface areas of a PCB on which the soldering sections is soldered.

An electrical connector has an insulative housing, a plurality of first terminals, a plurality of second terminals and a terminal shield. The first and second terminals are mounted in the insulative housing and each terminal has a soldering segment. The terminal shield substantially shields the soldering segments of the second terminals and prevents electromagnetic interference so that transmitting high frequency signals on the second terminals is stable.

A socket connector has an insulative housing, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals, a positioning bracket and a shell. The first and second terminals are mounted through the insulative housing, and each of the first and second terminals has a mounting section, a soldering section and a contacting section. The soldering sections of all terminals are arranged in a transverse row relative to the insulative housing. The positioning bracket is mounted under the insulative housing and holds the soldering sections. The shell covers the insulative housing, first and second terminals and positioning bracket. The soldering sections arranged in one row makes the socket connector compact.

A vertical socket connector has an insulating housing, an insulating bracket, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals and a shell. The insulating bracket is mounted on the insulating housing. The first terminals are mounted on the insulating housing. The second terminals are mounted on the insulating bracket. The shell covers the insulating housing, insulating bracket and terminals and forms a socket hole. Soldering sections of the first and second terminals protrude horizontally backward through rears of the insulating housing and insulating bracket so that the vertical socket connector is mounted vertically on a PCB with the socket hole opposite to the PCB.

A plug connector has an insulative housing, a mounting bracket, multiple first terminals, multiple second terminals and a shell. The mounting bracket is mounted on the insulative housing. The first terminals are mounted through the insulative housing and have soldering sections arranged in a first transverse row. The second terminals are mounted through the mounting bracket and have soldering sections arranged in a second transverse row. The soldering sections arranged in the different rows reduce a density of a soldering section layout and facilitate soldering the plug connector to a PCB.

A crosstalk-eliminating connector has an insulative body, multiple terminals and a metal shell. The terminals are mounted in the insulative body and some of the terminals are pairs of signal transmission terminals. The metal shell has at least one crosstalk-eliminating slot and each crosstalk-eliminating slot is located between two adjacent pairs of the signal transmission terminals when observed from the rear end of the insulative body. The at least one crosstalk-eliminating slot efficiently eliminates the crosstalk between adjacent pairs of the signal transmission terminals.

A plug connector has an insulative housing, a plurality of first terminals, a plurality of second terminals and a positioning bracket. The terminals are mounted in the insulative housing and each terminal has a soldering portion. The positioning bracket is mounted on the insulative housing and has a positioning protrusion having a top surface and a bottom surface respectively holding the soldering portions on two levels. The soldering portions are arranged in two levels to facilitate soldering wires to the soldering portions.
