A common lock used in a dual-usage portable computer formed of a base member and a display is disclosed to include an elongated operating frame bar longitudinally slidably mounted inside the display of the portable computer, a left-side frame and a right-side frame respectively fixedly mounted inside the display, a left-side hook coupled between the left end of the elongated operating frame bar and the left-side frame for locking the display to the base member when the computer is set in the form of a notebook computer, and a right-side hook coupled between the right end of the of the elongated operating frame bar and the left-side frame for locking the display to the base member when the computer is set in the form of a tablet PC.

Common lock for dual-usage portable computer

An adjustable support structure for a panel computer includes: a cradle having a slide slot at a middle section, at least two fastening slots placed at a bottom surface of the slide slot, and at least two pairs of positioning holes separately corresponding to the fastening slots are placed on two side walls of the slide slot. The back end of the support prop is optionally pushed against one of the fastening slots in the cradle; therefore, the cradle, the back support and the support prop which form a triangularly linked structure. The elastic unit can be pressed to drive the two positioning tabs to leave the positioning holes, so that the support prop can slide along the parallel track until the back support is at a desired leaning angle.

Adjustable support structure for a panel computer

A common lock used in a dual-usage portable computer formed of a base member and a display is disclosed to include a left-side hook and a right-side hook respectively pivoted to the base member on the inside, and an elongated operating frame bar axially slidably mounted inside the base member of the portable computer and coupled between the left-side hook and the right-side hook for operation by the user to bias the left-side hook and the right-side hook by means of a lever action and to further force the left-side hook and the right-side hook out of a respective through hole at the base member into engagement with a respective retaining block at the display to lock the display to the base member.

A display auto-locking structure includes a base member, an open frame pivoted to the base member and rotatable relative to the base member, a display pivotally mounted within the open frame and rotatable relative to the open frame, and a spring-supported cam rod mounted inside the open frame for locking the display to the open frame after the display has been set in one of two reversed positions within the open frame and for enabling the display to be rotated relative to the open frame after the open frame has been rotated relative to the base frame to a predetermined angle.

A swivel display inclining structure used in a dual-use portable computer is disclosed to include a touch panel pivoted to the top surface of the base member of the portable computer, two spring members for supporting the touch panel in an inclined position relative to the base member of the portable computer to support the swivel display of the portable computer in an inclined open position, two latches slidably mounted on the base member of the portable computer for locking the touch panel to the base member of the portable computer in a received position, and an operating bar for pressing by the user to disengage the latches from the touch panel for enabling the touch panel to be forced outwards from the received position to the inclined position by the spring members for supporting the swivel display in the inclined open position.

A mobile computer tilting arrangement is disclosed to include a casing, the casing comprising at least two recessed locating holes respectively disposed in at least two corners of the back side thereof, and two plugs selectively detachably press-fitted into two of the at least two recessed locating holes for supporting the casing on a flat surface in a sloping position, each plug comprising a center through hole, and a pin insertable into the center through hole to radially expand the respective plug into friction engagement with one recessed locating hole of the casing into which the respective plug is press-fitted.

A portable computer and base member arrangement having a base member and a portable computer is disclosed. The base member has two stop flanges protruded upwardly from the top face in two rear corners and adapted to engage two recessed locating holes of the portable computer after attachment of the portable computer to the base member, and a swinging retainer plate fastened pivotally with the front side and provided with two retaining rods adapted to engage into corresponding retaining holes in the front peripheral side of the portable computer to lock the portable computer to the base member after engagement between the recessed locating holes with protruded retaining portions of the stop flanges of the base member.

Portable computer and base member receiving arrangement

An auto-locking support structure lockable between the received position and the extended position by means of linking among a cover plate, a link, a slide and a pivot shaft, and biasing and prestressing from a spiral spring to the pivot shaft. A support structure of a portable keyboard includes two front support and a rear support. The front supports and the rear support can rotate to two predetermined angles respectively to form a confine within which a portable computer may be placed and supported. The rear support supports a backside of the portable computer, and the front supports push against a lower edge of the portable computer. Furthermore, both the front supports and the rear support can be closed onto an upper surface of the portable keyboard.

A rotatable display mounting structure is disclosed to include a hollow frame, a display pivotally mounted inside the hollow frame, positioning structures provided at the display, positioning devices formed in the hollow frame and adapted to engage with the positioning structures and to hold the display in the hollow frame in position after rotation of the display in the hollow frame vertically (or horizontally). The positioning structures are respectively extended from the outer left side of the display to the outer right side of the display, and the positioning devices are respectively extended from the left-side frame bar of the hollow frame to the right-side frame bar of the hollow frame, so that the positioning structures and the positioning devices, when matched, form a shielding structure to stop light from passing through the gap between the display and the hollow frame.

A rotatable display mounting arrangement is disclosed to include a base having a first pivot structure, an open frame, the open frame having a second pivot structure pivotally coupled to the first pivot structure of the base and a second pivoting means symmetrically disposed at top and bottom frame bars thereof, and a display horizontally rotatably mounted within the open frame, the display having a first pivoting means symmetrically disposed at the top and bottom sides and respectively pivoted to the second pivoting means of the open frame, the first pivoting means having wire holes for the passing of the electric circuit wire of an antenna embedded in the top frame bar of the open frame and the electric circuit wire of the base to the display.
