A method and a system for diagnosing remaining lifetime of storages in a data center are disclosed. The method includes the steps of: a) sequentially and periodically collecting operating attributes of failed storages along with time-to-fail records of the failed storages in a data center; b) grouping the operating attributes collected at the same time or fallen in a continuous period of time so that each group has the same number of operating attributes; c) sequentially marking a time tag for the groups of operating attributes; d) generating a trend model of remaining lifetime of the storages from the operating attributes and time-to-fail records by ML and/or DL algorithm(s) with the groups of operating attributes and time-to-fail records fed according to the order of the time tags; and e) inputting a set of operating attributes of a currently operating storage into the trend model to calculate a remaining lifetime therefor.

Method and system for diagnosing remaining lifetime of storages in data center

A three-dimensional (3-D) printing apparatus includes a base, a printing head module and a control unit. The base includes a carrying surface and a guiding mechanism. The guiding mechanism extends along a long-axis direction of the base. The printing head module movably disposed on the guiding mechanism. The length of the base is greater than the length of the printing head module, such that the printing head module is suitable for moving relatively to the guiding mechanism. The control unit coupled to the base and the printing head module controls the printing head module to move relatively to the base according to extensional information of the digital 3-D model along the long-axis direction, such that the printing head module dispenses a material on the carrying surface to form a 3-D object when moving relatively to the base.

Three-dimensional printing apparatus

There is disclosed an automatic white-balance correction method for digital camera, which divides a captured picture into multiple sampled regions for performing a white-balance correction. The image data of the captured picture is transformed form RGB format to YCrCb format. Then, the mean values of Y, Cr, and Cb are calculated for each sampled region based on the multiple sampled regions. Finally, Cr and Cb are used as two coordinate axes to define four quadrants, and the values of Cr and Cb of each sampled region are used to determine a corresponding quadrant for each sampled region, thereby determining a correction direction based on the number of sampled regions in each quadrant.
