A new Task Queue Methodology (TQM) is provided for reducing traffic jams and for controlling transportation priority in an Automatic Material Handling System (AMHS). A Stocker Resource Q, under control of TQM, maintains records of stockers that are under control of the AMHS and the availability thereof. For available stockers, a Task-Q under control of a Queue Manager (TQM) is accessed, extracting therefrom records that match available stocker resources. For the available stocker resources, the tasks that are scheduled against these resources are sorted by priority and by longest wait time, resulting in one selected task. For the in this manner selected task, a Move command is issued by the TQM to the Automatic Material Handling System.

Task queuing methodology for reducing traffic jam and to control transmission priority in an automatic material handling system

A system and method thereof for web search. A server comprises a storage device and a first program module. The storage device stores word count records. Each word count record has information regarding occurrences of words in short passages which have been referenced by a user. The first program module receives a user ID and a keyword, acquires multiple HTML documents corresponding the keyword, calculates a first value for each HTML document according to the word count records corresponding to the user ID, arranges multiple items corresponding to the HTML documents according to the first values thereof in descending order, and displays a web page comprising the ordered items.

Web search system and method thereof

A self-adjusting prediction system that provides for the transmission and storage of push lots of work. It uses an adaptive control algorithm in it's methodology to improve Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) transmissions. The method of prediction is greatly enchanted to reduce overall cycle time, incorrect transmission of work lots, and idle manufacturing tools. It provides real-time updating that enables a complex manufacturing Fab to process work with optimum movement between tools.

Adaptive control algorithm for improving AMHS push lot accuracy

In a semiconductor manufacturing fabrication plant with production to-order type operation, hundreds of devices and various processes are managed. To provide short cycle time and precise delivery to satisfy customer expectations is a major task. A dispatching algorithm named 'Required Turn Rate (RTR)' functions according to the level of current wafers in process (WIP) algorithm revising the due date for every lot to satisfy the demand from Master Production Scheduling (MPS). Further the RTR algorithm calculates the RTR of each lot based on process flow to fulfill the delivery requirement. The RTR algorithm determines not only due date and production priority of each lot, but also provides RTR for local dispatching. The local dispatching systems of each working area dispatch the lots by using required turn rate to maximize output and machines utilization.
