An antenna structure includes a housing, a feeding portion, and a connecting portion. The housing defines a gap and a groove. The housing forms a radiating portion and a coupling portion through the gap and the groove. A portion of the housing between the feeding portion and the gap forms a first radiating section. The connecting portion is electrically connected to one end of the coupling portion adjacent to the gap. When the feeding portion supplies current, the current flows through the feeding portion and the first radiating section, and is coupled to the connecting portion through the gap to activate a first operating mode. When the feeding portion supplies current, the current flows through the feeding portion and the first radiating section, and is coupled to the coupling portion through the gap to activate a second operating mode.

Antenna structure and wireless communication device using the same

An antenna structure includes a housing, a first feed source, a ground portion, a radiator, and a second feed source. The housing includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a first gap, a second gap, and a groove. A radiating portion and a coupling portion are divided from the housing by the slot, the first gap, the second gap, and the groove. The first feed source is electrically connected to the radiating portion. One end of the ground portion is electrically connected to the radiating portion and another end of the ground portion is grounded. The radiator is coupled with and apart from the coupling portion. The second feed source is electrically connected to the radiator and a current from the second feed source is coupled to the coupling portion through the radiator.

Antenna structure and wireless communication device using same

An antenna structure includes a housing, a first feed source, a first radiator, a second radiator, and a second feed source. The housing includes a first radiating portion. The first feed source feeds current to the first radiating portion and the first radiating portion activates a first mode to generate radiation signals in a first frequency band. The first radiator is positioned in the housing. The first radiating portion further couples the current to the first radiator and the first radiator activates a second mode to generate radiation signals in a second frequency band. The second radiator is positioned in a space formed by the first radiator. The second feed source feeds current to the second radiator and the second radiator activates a third mode to generate radiation signals in a third frequency band.

An antenna structure includes a metallic member. The metallic member includes a front frame, a backboard, and a side frame. The side frame defines a slot. The front frame defines a first gap and a second gap. The front frame between the first gap and the second gap forms a first radiating section, the front frame between the first gap and an end of the slot forms a third radiating section. Current enters the first radiating section from the first feed portion, the current flows through the first radiating section and towards the first gap and the second gap, respectively, thus activating radiating signals in a first frequency band and a second frequency band, the third radiating section obtains current from the first radiating section by coupling, thus activating radiation signals in a fourth different frequency band. A wireless communication device using the antenna structure is provided.

A wireless communication device using the antenna structure is provided.
