An electrical connector includes at least one electrical module, which includes an insulating body and a plurality of transmission modules. Each transmission module includes a terminal assembly and a cable assembly. Each terminal assembly includes two terminals and a shielding shell. Each terminal has a contact portion, a wire connecting portion and an intermediate portion. A first shielding portion of the shielding shell is provided outside the two wire connecting portions of the two terminals, and the first shielding portion is provided with an open area exposing the two wire connecting portions. A conductive sheet is electrically connected to the shielding shells of the terminal assemblies in a same row. The conductive sheet shields the open areas of the shielding shells in the same row. Each first shielding portion and the conductive sheet collectively form a shielding space and are surroundingly provided outside the two corresponding wire connecting portions.

Cable assembly for electrical connector

An electrical connecting assembly includes an electrical connector including a first terminal assembly, and a mating connector including a second terminal assembly. The first terminal assembly includes a first shielding shell covering outside a pair of first signal terminals. Each first signal terminal has a first contact portion. The second terminal assembly includes a second shielding shell covering outside a pair of second signal terminals. Each second signal terminal has a second contact portion. The first shielding shell is provided with at least one naked spacing region. When mating of the electrical connector and the mating connector is complete, the second shielding shell covers outside the first shielding shell and shields the naked spacing region, the first contact portion and the corresponding second contact portion are mated, and at least one of the first and second contact portions is exposed in the naked spacing region.

Electrical connecting assembly

An electrical connector includes at least one terminal assembly. The terminal assembly includes: a first signal terminal and a second signal terminal being narrow-edge coupled; and an insulating block fixing the first signal terminal and the second signal terminal. A length of the first signal terminal is greater than a length of the second signal terminal. A first connecting portion of the first signal terminal is provided with at least one exposing area, which is exposed to the insulating block and exposed in air medium. The first connecting portion has at least one widening portion and at least one narrow portion connected to each other along a length direction thereof. A width of the widening portion is greater than a width of the narrow portion. The exposing area is provided at the widening portion. A second connecting portion of the second signal terminal is completely wrapped in the insulating block.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes at least one electrical module. The electrical module includes: an insulating body, where multiple first accommodating slots are concavely provided on a first side toward a second side of the insulating body; multiple first terminal assemblies, respectively accommodated in the corresponding first accommodating slots; and a first grounding member, having multiple first spokes and multiple second spokes. Each first terminal assembly includes a first insulating block, a pair of first signal terminals, and a first shielding shell. Each first shielding shell has a first shielding side surface exposed to the first side. Each first spoke is in mechanical contact with the first shielding shells of a same electrical module, and each second spoke is in contact with the first shielding side surface of the corresponding first shielding shell, thus achieving conduction between the first shielding shells and the first grounding member.

A connector assembly includes multiple terminals. Each terminal includes a conductive portion. The terminals include first and second high speed signal terminals and a low speed signal terminal. The conductive portions of the first and second high speed signal terminals and the low speed signal terminal are correspondingly defined as first, second and third conductive portions. An adapter board is located above a circuit board to be conductively connected to a cable directly or indirectly. The adapter board includes first and second signal circuit layers located at different heights. The first signal circuit layer includes a first high speed signal circuit conductively connecting the first conductive portion and a conductive wire of the cable. The second signal circuit layer includes a second high speed signal circuit conductively connecting the second conductive portion and another conductive wire of the cable. The third conductive portion is conductively connected to the circuit board.

Connector assembly

An electrical connector includes an insulating body having a mating slot and multiple accommodating slots are in communication with the mating slot. Multiple terminals are accommodated in the accommodating slots. The terminals include ground terminals. Each terminal includes a connecting portion, an elastic arm, a tail portion, and an extending portion located between the connecting portion and the tail portion. The extending portion of each terminal extends obliquely downward and backward from the connecting portion. A grounding member is provided on the insulating body. The grounding member has a multiple upper and lower extending arms. A length of each upper extending arm is shorter than a length of each lower extending arm in the front-rear direction. The upper and lower extending arms respectively abut the ground terminals, thus shortening the transmission paths of the terminals. The grounding member and the ground terminals are in stable connection, thus reducing the resonance.

An electrical connector includes multiple terminals formed by cutting from a metal plate and bending. The portion of the metal plate with the terminals being removed is defined as a base plate. Each terminal has a base portion and an elastic arm connected thereto. The base portion is at least partially horizontally provided to be coplanar to the base plate. A cutting slot is formed between the base plate and the base portion. A through slot is formed between the base plate and the elastic arm. An insulating body is provided with through holes running vertically therethrough. A portion of the cutting slot and the through slot are exposed in a corresponding through hole. The terminals include signal terminals and ground terminals. The base plate forms a connecting portion between the through slot and the cutting slot of each ground terminal to be connected to the ground terminal.

An electrical connector includes an insulating body having a mating surface. An insertion slot is concavely provided on the mating surface. Two side walls are located at two sides of the insertion slot. A slot bottom surface is formed on a concave direction of the insertion slot. One of the side walls is provided with aground accommodating slot and a signal accommodating slot. A signal terminal and a ground terminal are provided on the one of the side walls. The signal terminal is accommodated in the signal accommodating slot. The ground terminal is accommodated in the ground accommodating slot. A side of the insulating plug member has a first portion corresponding to the signal accommodating slot and a second portion corresponding to the ground accommodating slot. The first portion is accommodated in the signal accommodating slot and is provided closer to the mating surface than the slot bottom surface.

An electrical connector includes: a first main body, having a first wall surface and a second wall surface; a second main body, mounted on the first main body, and having a third wall surface and a fourth wall surface. A first channel is formed between the first wall surface and the third wall surface. A second channel is formed between the second wall surface and the fourth wall surface and is communicated with the first channel. A signal terminal has a fixing portion accommodated in the first channel and fixed by at least one of the first main body and the second main body, and an elastic arm formed by extending from the fixing portion and accommodated in the second channel. A contact portion is provided on the elastic arm and is exposed to the first main body in a left-right direction to be in contact with the mating member.

Electrical connector with capacitive and resistive characteristics to satisfy required matching impedance

An electrical connector includes a base and a row of conductive terminals, including at least one pair of differential signal terminals and multiple ground terminals. Each conductive terminal is in contact with a mating component. The conductive terminals include a terminal group having two ground terminals and one pair of differential signal terminals located between the two ground terminals. In the terminal group, a pitch between the pair of differential signal terminals is defined as a first pitch, a pitch between each differential signal terminal and its adjacent ground terminal is defined as a second pitch, and the first pitch is less than the second pitch. A pitch between another ground terminal adjacent to the terminal group and an adjacent ground terminal in the terminal group is defined as a third pitch, which is greater than the second pitch. The electrical connector and the mating component form a connector assembly.

Electrical connector and connector assembly

A method for manufacturing an electrical connector is provided. A metal plate is provided, and defines multiple terminals. Each terminal has a base portion and an elastic arm connected to the base portion. A portion of a lower surface of the base portion defines a conducting area. The base portion is cut on the metal plate, thereby forming a cutting slot on the metal plate located at a side edge of the base portion. An insulating body is formed on the metal plate by injection molding, such that the insulating body fills the cutting slot. The insulating body covers only the base portion and not the conducting area and the elastic arm, thereby forming a through hole on the insulating body to expose the elastic arm. Then, the elastic arm is cut on the metal plate, thereby forming a through slot on the metal plate surrounding the elastic arm.

Method for manufacturing electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulating seat and at least one conductive terminal provided therein. The insulating seat includes a rear wall and two side walls, surroundingly forming a mating space. Each side wall includes an extending arm and an elastic arm. The elastic arm has a first arm extending forward from the extending arm and a second arm bending reversely from the first arm and extending backward. The second arm is connected to the rear wall. An opening slot is formed between the first arm and the extending arm and runs forward therethrough. A through slot is formed between the second arm and the first arm. A buckling portion is formed at a side of the second arm away from the first arm to correspond to the through slot and the opening slot in a left-right direction. The conductive terminal has a contact portion exposed to the mating space.

Electrical connector and connector assembly having the same

An electrical connector includes a body having an accommodating hole. The body has a protruding block and a platform protruding into the accommodating hole. The platform is located below the protruding block. A conductive terminal is accommodated in the accommodating hole. The conductive terminal has a base, which bends to form an accommodating space to accommodate the protruding block. The base has a through slot, and first and second branches located at two sides of the through slot. A lower section of the first branch is limited between the first protruding block and the platform. A method for manufacturing the electrical connector includes inserting the conductive terminal with the accommodating space opening upward into the accommodating hole by the strip, and rotating the conductive terminal with the protruding block as an axis, until the lower section of the first branch is located between the platform and the first protruding block.

Electrical connector and method for manufacturing the same

An electrical connector is mounted downward on a circuit board to mate with a mating member. The electrical connector includes an insulating body having a front end surface, where the front end surface is backward concavely provided with a mating slot for the mating member to be inserted therein, and at least one ground terminal. Each ground terminal has a main body provided on the insulating body. A first elastic arm and a second elastic arm extend forward from the main body. The first elastic arm has a first contact portion in downward contact with an upper shielding member. The second elastic arm has a second contact portion in downward contact with the mating member. The first contact portion is located in front of the second contact portion. An acting force by the first elastic arm counteracts a supporting force by the circuit board, preventing the insulating body from deformation.

An electrical connector is used to electrically connect a chip module to a circuit board. The electrical connector has an insulating body, provided with multiple accommodating holes vertically penetrating through the insulating body. An upper surface of the insulating body protrudes upward to form a protruding block located between adjacent ones of the accommodating holes to support the chip module. The protruding block has a first ejector pin surface. The insulating body has a second ejector pin surface adjacent to the protruding block. The first ejector pin surface and the second ejector pin surface are provided for an ejector pin on a mold to push thereon so as to push the insulating body out of the mold. Multiple terminals are correspondingly accommodated in the accommodating holes to be electrically connected to the chip module.
