A rehabilitation equipment includes a left foot pedal, a right foot pedal, a left-pedal driving module to drive movement of the left foot pedal, and a right-pedal driving module to drive movement of the right foot pedal. The rehabilitation equipment measures torques output by the left-pedal driving module and the right-pedal driving module when a user is at a relaxing state and also when the user is at an exercising state to obtain information relating to forces voluntarily output by the left foot and the right foot of the user, and determines a force output condition of the left foot and the right foot of the user.

A control method for a lower limb rehabilitation apparatus for rehabilitation of the lower limbs of a user includes the step of putting an exoskeleton on the lower limbs of the user, the step of setting a trigger condition, the step of using EMG muscle sensors to detect EMG signals from specific muscles of the user when the user is performing specific actions, the step of judging whether the sensing result meets the trigger condition, and the step of re-setting the triggering condition without moving the exoskeleton if the sensing result does not meet the trigger condition, or, the step of triggering a motion generator to provide a control signal to a control unit for controlling the exoskeleton in moving the lower limbs of the user to perform specific actions if the sensing result meets the trigger condition.

Control method for lower limb rehabilitation apparatus and apparatus using the method

A walking trainer includes a linear transmission unit including two carriages, and two pedal units each including a pedal holder, which includes a bottom frame carried on one respective carriage, upright posts mounted at the bottom frame and a top block mounted on and movable up and down along the upright posts, a rotary shaft mounted in the top block in a direction perpendicular to the upright posts and a pedal mounted on the rotary shaft and biasable with the rotary shaft relative to the pedal holder. Thus, the pedals of the pedal units can be moved with the respective carriages linearly and alternatively back and forth, on the other hand, and can also be moved with the associating top blocks up and down and biased with the respective rotary shafts relative to the respective pedal holders to simulate the walking gait path.

Walking trainer

A gait rehabilitation machine and a method of using the same for lower-limb rehabilitation. The gait rehabilitation machine includes: a frame; a rear supporting member provided at the frame so that the back side of a human body can lean against the rear supporting member; a thigh supporting member corresponding to a thigh of the human body and pivotally connected to the frame; a shank supporting member corresponding to the corresponding shank of the human body, pivotally connected to the thigh supporting member, and having a pedal to be stepped on by the human body; a knee supporting member corresponding to the corresponding knee of the human body and provided at the thigh supporting member or the shank supporting member; and a transmission device for driving the shank supporting member to move. Thus, a patient can do lower-limb gait rehabilitation exercise without using a suspension system.
