A process for creating an assembly with a pressure sensitive adhesive includes the application of a light curable composition to a first substrate of the assembly. The light curable composition is cured with a single light exposure step to form a fully polymerized pressure sensitive adhesive. The resulting pressure sensitive adhesive is brought into contact with to a second substrate with sufficient force to bond the second substrate to the first substrate to complete the assembly with the pressure sensitive adhesive.

Assembly processes using UV curable pressure sensitive adhesives (PSA) or stageable PSA systems

A cleaning solvent composition comprises from about 0.2 to 15 weight percent of mono- or di-phosphate ester in free acid form, and from about 85 to 99.8 weight percent of one or more halogenated hydrocarbon solvents. Other cleaning solvent compositions further comprise one or more alcohols. For example, such alcohol-containing compositions may comprise from about 0.2 to 15 weight percent of mono- or di-phosphate ester in free acid form, from about 2 to about 25 weight percent of one or more alcohols, and from about 25 to about 97.8 weight percent of one or more halogenated hydrocarbon solvents.

Cleaning solvent compositions and their use

The present disclosure relates to thiol-ene based coating compositions and polymeric compositions that are resistant to high temperature, as well as optical fibers coated with such polymeric compositions. In one aspect, the disclosure provides a radiation-curable optical fiber coating composition that includes at least 20 wt % of one or more at least trifunctional ethylenically unsaturated monomers, each having three or more free radical polymerizable ethylenic unsaturations; at least 20 wt % of one or more at least trifunctional thiol monomers, each having three or more free radical polymerizable thiols; and an effective amount of a free radical photoinitiator, wherein the ratio of the number of polymerizable ethylenic unsaturations of the curable composition to the number of polymerizable thiols of the curable compositions is at least about 1.

Optical fiber coating composition

A cleaning solvent composition comprises from about 70 to about 95.7 weight percent trans-dichloroethylene, from about 15 to about 3.8 weight percent heptafluorocyclopentane, and from about 15 to about 0.5 weight percent of methylperfluoroheptene ethers. The composition may comprise from about 88 to about 94.2 weight percent trans-dichloroethylene, from about 6 to about 3.8 weight percent heptafluorocyclopentane, and from about 6 to about 2 weight percent of methylperfluoroheptene ethers. A method for cleaning articles of soiling substances comprises contacting the articles with the solvent composition by any suitable means such as a spray delivered by a propellant gas, or by contact with liquid and/or vapor solvent compositions, as in a conventional vapor degreaser apparatus.

Cleaning solvent compositions exhibiting azeotrope-like behavior and their use

A test kit () includes an at least partially transparent or translucent tubular collection chamber () which has a flow control valve () at the inlet end () thereof. Flow control valve () has a mouth () that is used to engage a Schrader valve () of a HVACR system to flow pressurized refrigerant fluid into the collection chamber () via flow control valve (). The flow of the pressurized refrigerant fluid is throttled by flow control valve () to ensure that sufficient lubricating oil is separated from the refrigerant fluid and remains within the collection chamber (), even as refrigerant is expelled from collection chamber () via vent holes (). A collector () serves to accumulate separated lubricating oil. A frangible ampoule () which contains a liquid pH indicator () is crushed to contact the pH indicator with the separated lubricating oil to test the pH of the oil by color change of the pH indicator.
