An approach is provided that assists visually impaired users. The approach analyzes a document that is being utilized by the visually impaired user. The analysis derives a sensitivity of the document. A vocal characteristic corresponding to the derived sensitivity is retrieved. Text from the document is audibly read to the visually impaired user with a text to speech process that utilizes the retrieved vocal characteristic. The retrieved vocal characteristic conveys the derived sensitivity of the document to the visually impaired user.

A method, system and computer program product for providing contextual relevance of an unposted message to an activity stream after a period of time elapses. A comparison is made between the current state of the activity stream at a second point in time with respect to the state of the activity stream at a first point in time, which includes an unposted message. The relevance of the unposted message with respect to a current topic of interest in the activity stream at the second point in time is quantified. If the contextual relevance of the unposted message with respect to the current topic of interest in the activity stream at the second point in time is less than a threshold, then the user is presented with an indication of the contextual relevance of the unposted message to the activity stream.

Providing contextual relevance of an unposted message to an activity stream after a period of time elapses

A method is provided for localizing a prefix in a subject header field of an incoming electronic message. The method comprises receiving a value string of a subject header in an electronic message; identifying a system-generated prefix in the value string by parsing the value string and accessing a database storing a plurality of system-generated prefixes and a corresponding comparable local prefix for each of the plurality of system-generated prefixes; and converting the system-generated prefix to its corresponding comparable local prefix in the database.
